Taqueria Mi Sazon — Restaurant in San Francisco

2025 update: Today's lunch was a steak fajitas plate $18 and chips & salsa $2.50. This was OK. Taqueria Mi Sazon is a solid place for lunch as it is never busy here. The chef is fast. Plenty of table available. Although, a group of five high school aged teenagers with their school backpacks appeared. They seem to know the young waiter. Shouldn't they be in school? It is cool how they let the teenagers cutting class hang out, playing pool. Good times. Service was fine. No water refills though.

Updated review 10/20/2021: Birria tacos are still excellent. They are very cheesy with plenty of beef!

Original review 10/6/2021: For lunch, I had two beef quesabirrias ($9.50) and a super beef taco($4.25.) The quesabirrias came with a red soup to dip the quesabirrias in. The quesabirrias were meaty with a bit of cheese on the bottom. The food here is very good. Ultimately, I was so impressed, I ordered four beef tacos dorados ($10) and a super beef torda ($9.75) for to-go. There wasn't a need to look for food later because this place was...

Been in the bay area since 2018 but mostly North bay and I always talk trash about the Mexican food in the bay and it being mediocre. This restaurant has restored my faith in good Mexican food in Sf. I’m normally a Torta guy 😉 but being hung over I got a shrimp cocktail and two carne asada tacos. The tacos got to my table in no time and had the cutest presentation along with the chips. But cuteness aside they were delicious. Tons of flavor and the salsa with the chips was on point. My shrimp Cocktail was fresh and delicious and brought me back to life. Had a cold coke in a glass bottle to wash it down and before I realized it I had a little knee bob going on. That food gave me some pep in my step. Haha My only complaint is don’t come in extremely hung over and dine in as theres a pool table thats kinda loud....

So my coworker went on her lunch break here she ordered two tacos which came out to $10 which brings two tacos to five dollars each per taco. She left him a three dollar tip and remind you we have a 30 minute lunch break. She waited her whole 30 minutes to receive no food so she told him hey I have to leave but can I come back and pick up my food they said yes you can come back and pick it up. She goes back to pick up her food and it’s still not ready and then they proceed to say they’ll bring her her food it to her where we work and never did - we had two get two people to grab her food then try to tell her she didn’t pay when she did . But at the end she finally got her two tacos...
