Came in for dinner with my dogs as we usually do. They were more concerned about watching us like a hawk rather than getting my order right. Order even came out WRONG!!!! But our waitress and the manager spent the entire time literally watching my date and I eat the whole time to make sure we weren't feeding our dogs SMH. Waitress needs training in taking orders with a pen instead of trying to memorize, also needs to learn how to smile & act friendly. Very rude and impolite. We usually tip 25%. This is the first time we tipped. ZERO, ever. Which speaks volumes of how poor & unprofessional their service was. Manager is a 70yr old busybody with clearly too much free time on his hands. Instead of making sure customers orders are correct, he spends time walking around like a prison guard making sure you are not doing anything out of line. Just ridiculous & PETTY BEHAVIOR. When I explained to him my order was incorrect, and they didn't bother to fix it, so I decided to feed it to my dogs, Instead of being helpful and acting like a manager, he acted like a child & gave a condescending look, then cowardly ran off to the back.. There's a reason he works at Applebee's at 70 years old. This is why. Pretty sure his family feels the same about him. Nobody seems to like this old man. Makes sense why the rest of his staff look unhappy and miserable working on his shift. Literally have never seen an entire restaurant staff look like coming to work is a death sentence. As a manager myself, it's reflective on your terrible attitude towards employees. I don't blame him, I blame the person who hired him then promoted him to manager. Read moreWhile it's true that the host staff is pretty friendly, we struggled from the moment we sat down for lunch today. We ordered a 2 for $25 and a 3 course meal. Our appetizers were fine, but immediately when we got our plates, we knew something was off. My husband's bourbon street chicken and shrimp was not warm, let alone sizzling like it's supposed to be. My brother's steak was made medium-well, almost well well done when he asked for medium-rare, and his sides of Mac n cheese and fries were cold. My three cheese cavatappi was disgustingly cold and gummy. We all sent our food back, and while my husband got a whole new plate, my brother and I had microwave heated plates (we know they were microwaved because the pasta I had taken a bite of was still in the bowl and a chunk of my brother's steak was missing.) Of course, this overcooked my brother's steak EVEN MORE, so both my brother and I had to send our plates back a second time. At this point, a manager stepped in. She brought our new plates out, but my brother's new steak was almost rare and was gummy, as if it hadn't been cooked on a grill. My pasta was warm, but still overcooked and chewy. At this point, we gave up. My husband was full and my brother and I were sick to our stomachs. My brother got his dessert to go (which was gross, too; the brownie had a sandy texture) and we did leave with both of our meals comped. This would be a one star rating if it weren't for the manager comping our meals. We will not be coming back to this Applebee's and possibly will never go to one ever again. About 6 months ago I went to the Apple bee restaurant located on Saratoga Avenue and Highway 280 i am a frequent customer attended my friend Mario ibarras and a server Guadalupe Rojas. the bart tender name Marcela was sometimes friendly but I don't know what happened one day I asked for a drink and I use the excuse that my card had no background that was wrong. I had to ask the manager to speak to fix the problem. 3 months later I returned to the same restaurant Miss Marcela was still at the bar waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes and did not attend us. I asked him if he was attending or the bar was closed and he did not respond other customers and they were very friendly and we were ignored anyway I asked for a table to attend us. on the last visit to the restaurant already mentioned I went with my friend and his sister and we sat at the bar and the same happened Miss Marcela did not attend us looking for excuses not to do so. we waited about 10 minutes and likewise did not greet us and gave us on menu to know if we are going to order something to take so we made the decision to ask for a table and then asked to speak to the manager in turn.
