Unclean, Unwelcoming, and Completely Unacceptable — Proceed at Your Own Risk
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. What unfolded during my visit wasn’t just a bad dining experience — it was an outright health concern, followed by some of the most dismissive and unprofessional service I’ve encountered.
Soon after ordering, I saw cockroaches crawling on the floor. Had I seen them earlier, I absolutely would’ve walked out. That alone should have been a deal-breaker. But unfortunately, it didn’t stop there.
The interior was grimy, dated, and neglected — with an atmosphere that screamed neglect, not hospitality. I ordered crab rangoons, only to find they were filled with an unidentifiable yellow cheese — not cream cheese, which is the standard for the dish. When I asked the waiter, Mark, about it, he gave a smug, matter-of-fact response that they “don’t use cream cheese.” There was zero effort to resolve the issue or offer any kind of alternative. When I explained I wasn’t satisfied — after tasting just two out of eight pieces — he abruptly refused to serve me further.
Let me be clear: I did not yell, threaten, or behave inappropriately. I expressed dissatisfaction with a dish and was immediately met with hostility and refusal of service. That, combined with the unsanitary conditions, sealed the deal. I’ve eaten here before and hoped it might’ve improved. It hasn’t. If anything, it’s worse.
To add insult to injury, the prices are outrageous. Nearly $20 for a dish that doesn’t even include rice — which, by the way, costs extra.
Update in response to the owner’s reply:
The response posted by the owner is laughably disingenuous and riddled with misinformation.
No threats of harm were made — period. That’s a false and defamatory claim on their part, and it reflects far more poorly on them than on me.
As for the cockroaches — I saw them with my own eyes. Denying their presence does nothing to negate what I witnessed.
I ate exactly two out of eight crab rangoons. That’s not “nearly half.” If the owner can’t count or chooses to distort such basic facts, it’s no wonder their reputation is in the gutter — as clearly reflected in many other negative reviews on both Google and Yelp.
Trying to spin my experience as “defamation” is desperate at best. You cannot hide poor sanitation or bad customer service behind fake smiles and revisionist storytelling.
You had the opportunity to resolve a customer’s concern with decency and integrity — and instead, you chose arrogance, denial, and a public smear attempt. I’ve already reported your establishment to the health department, and I encourage others to do the same if they encounter similar issues.
This place is a health hazard, and the customer service is even more toxic. Spend your money where hygiene, honesty, and hospitality are actually valued.
The reviews literally speak for themselves. You can see the images that I've attached. Instead of genuinely considering and trying to understand their customers complaints, they amount to discrediting and downplaying their experiences. Distasteful and disgusting customer service by the owners just the like wait staff and the horrible food with...
Read morePeople who ran the restaurant were very friendly, but I did not care for the food. It's the first time I can ever recall getting lukewarm to cold "hot" tea. The wor won ton soup was dark like it had a lot of soy sauce based sauce poured in it. There were three very thin slices of "BBQ pork" that tasted really old and had no other flavor. It had 2 jumbo shrimp and 3 small lumps if something (mushy chicken maybe?). That's it for protein! No bok choy (there were only a few pieces of Napa type cabbage) no pea pods, just 3 zigzags of carrot and some green onion. Inside the won tons, the filling very dark (more mystery meat). There was also an aftertaste, the kind you get when a restaurant uses a lot of msg. I ordered a combo fried rice to go and it doesn't smell right I'm not sure it will be edible.. There wasn't one single piece of protein showing in the rice and I suspect there will be precious few beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp pieces within the rice if I take a chance and eat it later. Not too good for $15 rice. Even mediocre restaurants are capable of making delicious fried rice (Panda Express even makes fried rice with a...
Read moreBest Taste is my go to! The food is amazing and the owners are wonderful! We are frequent flyers here, even after moving 45 minutes away! We've sent so many friends here who now are repeat customers. The sesame beef is our favorite and the spicy green beans. Though you can't go wrong with anything
Rich Somar's review is completely false. I was actually in the restaurant when he called and spoke to the owner. He didn't get food so how could he be sick? How could he know the restaurant was dirty? It's not! I heard him on the phone and he was rude so service was refused. He's just an angry individual
We highly recommend you come here and try the food for yourself. You won't be...
