Its a shop with great choice of items at a convenient location for us. However I have bought expired goods from this shop in the past. I have let it go 1-2 times. Today I went back to this shop since I had received expired noodles from this shop. I mentioned I just wanted to return them and didn’t want an exchange. The lady at the counter said she can’t refund and that I have to buy something else. I said I don’t want to buy anything in exchange. I could have, but honestly I was a bit upset that they were telling me what I have to do after they screwed up. I asked how is that fair and asked how it’s fair to sell expired goods at the shop in that, very respectfully. I think she took it personally and reacted angrily when I mentioned it’s your responsibility to ensure that goods being sold in the shop are not expired and told me “don’t talk to me like that. I am not the owner or anything and I can’t ensure that.”. She may have misinterpreted when I said “your”, but I clearly mentioned I am not personally referring to her but to the business itself. It certainly deserves good rating for its clean and well stocked/labeled shelves. Majority of them display prices, friendly staff mentioned they continue to work to do their best.

They have a pretty decent sized to-go food counter with good south and North Indian options in addition to snacks. Bakery offers eggless options as well.

Tried masala dosa, jackfruit dosa, vada sambar and dahi vada. Must say their dahi vada topped the list. All others are okay… could be made bit more tastier especially sambar. They need to wrap cling film to wrap liquid items. Especially dahi vada leaked very badly… hope they improve packaging in future.

Bit size samosas at the main counter are ok bit on oily side, don’t come with chutneys. Highly recommend Dal vada:)

I had a very unpleasant experience at Wolfe India Bazaar. The person at the counter was extremely rude and unprofessional, even while training a new employee. She openly made negative comments about customers, which was shocking and made for an uncomfortable shopping environment.

After I checked out, I was followed to see if I returned the cart properly, which felt intrusive and unnecessary. To make matters worse, I was asked to clean up a cup left in the cart — which wasn’t even mine.

It’s clear the staff are frustrated about customers not returning baskets, but taking that out on shoppers is unacceptable. Customer care and satisfaction seem to be a very low priority here. I won’t...
