Today I went in stood and waited near the front for assistance to get a table for 2, and this girl asked if I wanted to order a to-go. I said no, then said I wanted to get a table for two. Right then one of her male co worker came then she started complaining rudely to him about someone that stood and looked around like it’s a “museum” in here and now wanted a table? (Word usage was rude and loud). Then the guy turned over and looked at me. I’m honestly not sure who she was talking about because the most I did of a look around was just glancing briefly to find the sign-in sheet? Or I might have glanced eyes around unconsciously while waiting for help but like what’s wrong with that? lmao. She looked stunned for a second when she realized I heard what she said. Then she just brought me to our table, said “gửi bàn” in a rude tone, and walked off. I never saw her again for the rest of the time we were there—they sent another girl to assist us instead. Whether that was about me or some other guest, it’s extremely unprofessional, especially when you’re assisting a guest. And if it’s about me, that’s just so unreasonable, lol. Honestly, I don’t know what kind of mood swings she’s dealing with, but this is twice now she’s taken it out on me like I did something to offend her. Last time we came in here, it was this same girl that assisted us, and her attitude was also rude. She’d slam the water glasses on the table like she was mad, then just leave without saying anything. It just seemed like she was mad at something else and poured it on us. But she didn’t even try to tone it down—I felt like she was trying to really prove to us that she was mad.
Also, a reoccurring issue is that I often order the mi cay, but it almost always came out after my boyfriend finished or almost finished his food. So it kind of defeats the purpose of going out to eat together.
Despite the last two visits being some of the worst customer service experiences we’ve had at a restaurant, there are good sides to this place. We went here almost every weekend since its opening. I loved their vibe and the mi cay. Bo ne and other foods were hit or miss sometimes. Other employees were mostly nice, especially the older guy that often brings out the mi cay to me. Others seemed to be young students—some look clueless at times—but I didn’t mind much as long as the service is respectful.
But yeah, I’m giving it 2 stars this time because I do enjoy other aspects of this restaurant. Not sure I would come back as often after this incident, but if I do, and if something similar happens again, I might update it to 1 star then.

Read moreStopped by here for lunch with a group of 9 total during MLK Day (1/20) and was it a choice.
First, it took about 30 minutes to get seated, as they were busy and it was a holiday. This is understandable and I have no issue with. We ended up getting seated outside, under the TVs, and that's where the problem was. Unfortunately, it was also Inauguration Day and they were BLASTING Fox News, very loudly. To the point that it was difficult to speak to the person right next to you. Upon asking for the volume to be lowered, they were able to accommodate, but there was a point where it started blasting again. This was a bit upsetting.
Anyways, onto the food. I got the banh mi chao bo ribeye xao (# 25). I was pleasantly surprised and happy with this dish! Though pricey (~$21), I would definitely get it again if I was craving a banh mi chao. The meat was well seasoned and came out HOT, the baguette was toasted perfectly. I also liked that it came with a small salad to cut all the fat.
Additionally, I grabbed the iced Vietnamese egg coffee (# 4a). It was strong, as you come to expect from any Vietnamese coffee. Again, it was on the pricier end (~$7), but did come in a to-go cup and a cute lunar new year sleeve.
Overall, I really enjoyed the food here. The atmosphere, not so much. But again, I don't fully blame them as it was Inauguration Day. I would love to try it again under more mellow times.

Read moreAs a business, this place isn’t trained to professionally serve customer per the max capacity they have. They have no system to track wait time per number of parties, hence, estimated wait time they told you isn’t accurate at all. If you do not speak viet, you will struggle dining in as servers do not comprehend English, at the same time, English speaker store manager isn’t available when you needed help. Once we got seated and placed order, we waited 35 mins to get served. During those waiting and dining period, not a single time the server came check on us, as if their job is done just by taking orders at the table. We tried so hard to catch server attention just to bring us the foods we ordered. Also Foods were mediocre, service rating is to minus infinity. If you don’t mind these, this is good instagram spot
Ripped off: ordered strawberry yogurt, and it came out with 90% ice cube, and only 10 % is the actual drink.i paid $8.5 for this drink with tip included. I should have taken a picture.
