This was my favorite place to eat during my lunch hour, it's not to far from my job which makes it super convenient. Well today this Chipotle lost a loyal customer. I came in to grab food to-go for lunch. I placed my order as usual and I felt really rushed but kept moving the pace they forced me to, when I moved to the register I paid for my food and went on my way. I order a bowl with white rice, black beans, mild chili, corn, cheese and guac. I got to work and opened my bowl and my order was wrong. My bowl was doused in sour cream! If it had been enough to scrap off and eat, I would of did just that, but there was no going around the glob of sour cream this girl poured all over my bowl. I had to drive all the way back and ask for my bowl to be remade due to their incompetent employees. I walked up to the register and asked for them to remake it due to it being wrong, the young man advised he would do just that. I got back in line and had to repeat my order twice to the first girl because she acted like she was lost, I asked her to put extra rice and I had no problem paying the difference, she still did not add the extra rice. I then moved to the next girl whom is the one that loves overly drenching food in sour cream, well she messed up my order yet again! Placing the hottest chili Chipotle carries, I told this girl that she was doing it wrong and if she was listening to what I was saying. Then the "Supervisor" intervened feeling like it was okay to step up to me in an aggressive manor yelling at me to stop being "rude" or I can be kicked out. I told this "Supervisor" I was upset because I am a MANAGER of the company I work for and do not have to be making double trips for the mistakes of their employees that could of been avoided if they had listened to me the first time. This "Supervisor" whom I did not get the name of walked to the back of the room but still glaring at me. When I finally got to the register I was approached by a helpful older asian woman who was very apologetic to me for the whole incident and advised me she would comp me for the food and refund me my money. Money is not the problem, I have no issue paying any tab of mine, however if I am paying nearly $10 a bowl you would think we would be getting the correct portion size, seems like now they cut all the portioning, but NOT their prices. At the end of the day my main concern is my time, being a Manager my time is very valuable and incidents like this are things I do not wish to deal with. Again I will NEVER return to this Chipotle and I will be contacting Cooperate in regards to that...
Read moreDisappointed and Deceived: A Chipotle Experience Gone Awry
I recently visited the Chipotle restaurant located at 1095 E Brokaw Rd, San Jose, CA 95131, during my lunch break, expecting a satisfying meal to fuel the rest of my workday. However, what I encountered was not just a disappointing dining experience, but a flagrant disregard for customer satisfaction.
Upon ordering my usual chicken burrito bowl, I was shocked when the server attempted to pass off a measly quarter scoop of chicken as an acceptable portion. When I dared to request more chicken, I was met with condescension and disdain from the server, who insisted that what she had provided was indeed a "serving."
Excuse me? Since when did a pathetic mound of chicken barely sufficient to feed a bird become the standard at Chipotle? As a loyal customer since 2009, I have never encountered such stinginess with portions. Is this some new cost-cutting measure, or just sheer incompetence on the part of the staff?
To add insult to injury, when I requested additional chicken, instead of graciously accommodating my reasonable request, the server proceeded to scoop the meager portion into a sauce cup, as if to imply that I was somehow greedy for desiring a proper meal. Is this the customer service Chipotle prides itself on? Treating patrons like beggars for daring to expect a decent portion of protein with their meal?
Frustrated and hungry, I had no choice but to abandon my lunch plans at that particular Chipotle and seek sustenance elsewhere. I ventured to the Chipotle at the Great Mall in Milpitas, where, lo and behold, I was treated with the respect and generosity I deserved as a paying customer. The difference was stark: a full, hearty serving of chicken without the need to beg or plead for what should have been provided from the start.
Chipotle, consider this a wake-up call. Your customers are not merely dollar signs; they are individuals who expect and deserve value for their hard-earned money. Skimping on portions and treating patrons with disdain is a surefire way to lose their loyalty. If you value your reputation and wish to retain customers, I suggest you address these issues promptly and ensure that every customer receives the quality and quantity of food they rightfully deserve. Until then, I'll be taking my...
Read moreDuring a semi busy lunch rush as expected this sweet, respectful and professional young lady named Therese helped me. As she was helping the customer ahead of me who had two orders she took the time to acknowledge me and inform me that she will be with me shortly. Of course i don’t mind since she is the only person at the register AND the only person taking and completing orders. A line starts forming behind me and she kindly asked two other employees who were just standing at the kitchen door talking to each other to help her on the line and they ignored her and she continued helping us. Eventually the manager (I didn’t get her name) came out and quickly got on line and began helping Therese, getting all customers served and out the way. The ONLY reason I came to share this experience is to thank Therese and her parents for creating such an amazing young lady who handled this unprofessional setting in such a mature manner. The way they ignored her made me so mad! But if Therese could continue on with a smile on her face with exceptional service then I could hold my composure. Thank you for turning this regular Monday into lesson and for being an inspiration to someone much older than you! I hope you get a promotion with a raise ASAP & no matter where life take you, you will be successful !
OH AND MY FAVORITE PART WAS WHEN YOU RE ROLLED THAT BURRITO FOR THAT CUSTOMER BEFORE ME UNTIL IT ROLLED CORRECTLY! Thank you for not being one of the employees that just stuffs it in a messy way and just wraps the hell out of it with...
