We recently ordered takeout from Yoshi Sushi, and overall, it was a great experience. Our order included a California Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, Tuna Avocado Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Negihama Roll. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully balanced in flavor. The only real downside of our visit was the parking situation. The lot was very busy during the dinner hour, making it difficult to find a spot. However, once inside, the restaurant itself was relatively empty, with only a few diners. When I approached the counter and let them know I was picking up an order, they had everything ready to go, making the pickup process quick and efficient. All of the sushi rolls were fresh and well-made. One thing we really appreciated was that there wasn’t an excessive amount of sauce on the rolls. This allowed the natural flavors of the fish to shine, which is exactly what we look for in good sushi.
California Roll – A classic done well. The crab and avocado were fresh, and the roll had a good balance of flavors. Salmon Avocado Roll & Tuna Avocado Roll – Both were simple but delicious. The fish tasted fresh, and the avocado added a nice creaminess. Rainbow Roll – One of the highlights! The variety of fish on top made each bite slightly different, and everything tasted very fresh. Negihama Roll – A great choice for fans of yellowtail and green onion. The fish was tender, and the green onion gave it a light, fresh flavor.
If you’re looking for a solid takeout sushi spot, Yoshi Sushi is a great option. While the parking can be tricky, the quick pickup and fresh, high-quality sushi made it worth it. We’d definitely order...

I told the hostess I was a party of one — I’m in town on a business trip — and when I asked where the bathroom was, I was told it was only for customers. I get the policy, but I had literally just said I was planning to eat there. As a solo diner, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my purse and keys at the bar while stepping away, so it created an unnecessarily awkward start.
The ordering process is completely contactless, which sounds modern but ends up being confusing and not at all user-friendly. There were no clear instructions, which made it frustrating to even get started.
Now the food… I eat sushi two to three times a month, and tuna nigiri is my usual go-to — so I know what to expect in terms of quality. What I got here was bland, slimy, and just off. I paid $20 for two orders of tuna nigiri (4 small pieces total) and a $1.50 avocado side, which is already steep for what it was — but what really ruined it was that the first piece I tried had something hard in it, like a scale or bone. I had to pull it out of my mouth and genuinely fought the urge to throw up right there in the restaurant.
I’m not the type to send food back, and I didn’t make a scene — but I was extremely disappointed that I had to pay for a plate I couldn’t eat. I left the other three pieces untouched.
Between the poor service experience, overpriced and low-quality food, and the uncomfortable vibe, I sadly won’t be coming back. I really wanted to like this place, but it completely...
Read moreWent here to get an early dinner after driving in from Los Angeles. It was pretty empty at 6 on a Wednesday evening. Was seated immediately. Dishes with wasabi and ginger were brought out and that's when I knew it wasn't going to be good. The ginger was slightly dried out like it had been sitting out for a while.
Ordering is done online after scanning a QR coffee in the table. There are a few nigiri and sushi roll (cut roll or hand roll) options, standard entrees like teriyaki chicken, beef and salmon. There are also appetizers like agadashi tofu and edamame.
We got the agadashi tofu to start. It was ok but the sauce was not too flavorful. The today was fried lightly but was still soft and most on the inside. The pork belly skewers were pretty good with the right amount of seasoning and char in it. Definitely the best thing I had.
The rolls we got was the dragon roll, the salmon soon roll and the salmon with avocado roll. The were all ok and would rate a 5/10. So average.
The miso salmon entree was pretty bad. The miso seasoning was sweet rather than salty or savory. I didn't know what they used but it was almost like an artificial sweetener was used. I don't think it was but that's how sweet it was. It also had a "interesting" after taste. The salmon portion was a good size. The accompanying salad had another strange dressing that I didn't care for.
Overall I was a bit disappointed in my experience here but perhaps it was an off night. I would try it again and probably stick to the sushi options.
I will say that the service was pretty good and we were checked...
