I think most people inflated and rated this place based solely on the food taste and its quality only, and they forgot to rate the customer service and the environment. The sandwiches here is undeniably better than some other places near by; however, all other items such as SĂ´i (sweet rice), chè (sweet) etc. taste not much different than others. However, I want to emphasize my review toward the customer service, the attitude and unprofessionalism of this place: After we came to this place a few times, I had been totally disappointed with the bad attitude, poor customer service along with bad communication from the cashiers, the servers, and the pickup line servers! I feel like they donât need customers, instead, they see it as customers need them!!??? We felt like we came here To steal their food from my observation and perspective! Sad sad place! What the heck over! If an identical place opens for business near by that can provide better customer service, eventually they will attract the large amounts of customers from here! Hope soon so that the owner of Duc Huong can start changing his attitude! I wonât be back anymore! I might not make a different in the overall numbers, but guess what, my whole big families is now donât want to come here anymore too! Hope their attitude and service will change in a good way! Itâs all about professionalism and proper run of business. Busy business is good and it created competition; however, itâs not an excuse to disrespect customers with bad attitude and poor service. My review has Nothing to do with persona feeling. Strictly business and...
Read moreThe best banh mi's around the Bay Area. The buy 4 get 1 free deal is such a steal. It's not worth it to come here to buy one sandwich - you'll be waiting nearly half an hour for your order. If you do come here, be prepared to wait awhile and be sure to put in a large enough order to make it worth the wait.
They really load up on the meats and veggies. Love the pate they put it on it as well as whatever savory sauce to add that extra umami flavor. The bread is what puts it all together- freshly baked French bread that doesn't scrape the roof of my mouth. It's soft and goes so well with the fillings of the sandwich. I usually get the #2 combo and the xio mai (pork meatball filling). I've tried their bbq pork, chicken, etc but nothing compares to the OG cold cut meats. The pork meatball filling one is so good as well, tastes close to how my parents make it at home.
Next door is another bakery shop that sells banh mis, its slightly cheaper and it's almost as good as duc huong. If you're waiting for awhile, grab another sandwich next door and compare. I came out with 6 banh mis one day and my husband and I ate them all easily in a few days. Parking may be tight during busy times so I suggest going in the mornings or call in your...

I walked in there was one line, didnt see no sign for pick up orders, so I went up to the cashier and asked where do I pick up online orders, idk if she didnt hear me but repeated myself and she rudely said just stand there so I was like ok. 3min later she waves a young girl, im assuming to help me she approaches me very nice told her my name gives me my order, I go to my car I open it, immediately notice no garlic spread,my order was a small cold combo with butter parsley spread, extra pate, extra daikons and carrots, so went back cause i mean come on we pay extra, as im walking back I notice there was a window for pick up orders not sure why the cashier didnt mention that instead had me just stand there, go to the window she apologizes I was thinking they were going to re make it but no she takes it back goes to the kitchen, brings me the same sanwhich with the spread! And it was cold not even toasted like what?? So imagine how butter gets when its cold yes! So at this point I was like what ever then I see no extra pate nor daikons with carrots, very disappointed, I really tried to like this place base on the hype but nope, maybe ill try again another day or a...
