Great Khan's Mongolian Eastridge Center — Restaurant in San Jose

I used to go here as a child in the early 2000’s with my mom. She taught me a method to pile on more food into the bowl so that the people there would cook.

In the recent years, they stopped letting people go back to get extra sauce or put noodles if it couldn’t fit.

It’s understandable that we shouldn’t go back for more. However, today, the cook working on April 14, 2023 around 1:00-2:00 PM PST took bowl and started cooking my food. Then he snatched my tray and TRASHED MY NOODLES that didn’t make it into the bowl. My parents taught me never to waste food and this threw me into a despair.

I couldn’t do anything. The last time I went, the cook told me not to go back and get more noodles because I didn’t get any. The cashier said I had to pay for another entree if I wanted noodles. But then out of kindness or some other reason, that cook went and got noodles for me. 🙏❤️

But today, this cook really… I even had a top ready because I always try to tip the cooks… And he had the nerve to give me back my tray and tap it twice as if to say “this is all you get”.

I’m not going back. Disgusting behavior. If I see that cook again, I am going to McDonalds or Sansei instead. I’m only giving 2 stars and not 1 because of the...

This was my first time at this establishment. My lunch cost $18. This restaurant allows you to select your own ingredients, which the chef then stir-fries for you. I chose beef, a little lamb, greens, fresh vegetables, and noodles. After the chef cooked everything, I sat down to eat.

To me, it was just a heated pile of ingredients, prepared without any flavor. The food was dry, lacked taste, and the meat was extremely tough, making it very difficult to chew. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, as well as a bad experience. I do not recommend...

I have mixed emotions about Great Khans in Eastridge Mall.

The meal was reasonably good. But the quality of the meats was poor. The vegetables were fine. The seasonings were fine.

The price was high especially considering that they allow customers to have only one bowl of food, which is not enough quantity for a full meal.
