I did not even plan to get bagels, but I was at a nearby Coffee shop and saw the queue lining in front of the restaurant and was intrigued. I went around lunchtime on a weekend and there was some line, but it moved pretty fast and I was able to order in 10-15 minutes. The store itself is quite small and pretty old looking, but they have plenty of outdoor seating. It can be a bit hot on a sunny day, so you might want to grab a seat under the shade. They have lots of different types of bagels. Some traditional, some non-traditional. Apart from cream cheese, they also do bagel sandwiches such as lox or bacon, egg, and cheese. The service is super duper fast. Literally, my bagel was out in a minute. I have no clue how they managed to do it so fast. There is also coffee and I saw a lot of people getting coffee, but I did not try it. I got the jalapeño bagel with tomato, basil cream cheese, and while not traditional at all, it was very tasty and filling. Also, it’s about five dollars per bagel cream cheese, which I think is great value. Definitely...
Read moreThe long line is there for a reason. Great quality, fresh made bagels. Many flavor options and a seemingly unlimited number of ways to dress them. Above average grab and go coffee and a very capable barista for all your fancy styled drink needs. If you visit more than a couple times, they will remember your last order and will attempt to anticipate your next. The team behind the counter is incredibly well synchronized and FAST. They work very hard to please the customer and deserve generous tips. The out door seating is quite pleasant, situated under a canopy of tree limbs. The folding chairs can get uncomfortable over time, but comfortable wood benches are also available. The place tends to attract a lot of dog walkers from the nearby neighborhood. They are mostly well behaved and the majority of their dogs are small or lethargic Labradors. The best advice I can give is to try and get there before 8am or prepare yourself in advance for standing in line for around...
Read moreBring cash!! I didn’t understand the hype behind this place in the first place. The representation truly exceeds the name here. HoBags? Before going there, I thought it was a a small, independent bagel place. But it’s actually House of Bagels. They’ve got these shops in many towns! But with lines like these? Nahhhh -I order the same thing every single time I. Asiago or jalapeño cheese bagel with tomato basil cream cheese. Mmmm! -Just watching how fast the staff works without processing order tickets or writing anything down is frkn mesmerizing! It’s fun to watch tbh and idk how they do it. Friendly staff too. I ordered iced tea and was going to add honey. The guy making the drink asked if I wanted to add the honey before he was making it so that it would mix in better - so thoughtful! -stay close after you order cuz they will literally hand it to you very quickly after ordering! -plenty of outdoor benches and seating! Grab a spot in the shade and enjoy...
