Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in San Jose

My first experience here was in 2015 and it was pretty bad but I have places a chance. It took me 2 years but I gave this place another try. On 02/02/2018 (Friday), I placed an online order for one medium McKinley (about $15.25) and one small jalapeno pizza (about $12.95) to be ready at 545pm. I arrived about 505pm and knew I was early so I ordered a beer and wanted to watch the Sharks game. The beer, I was told, was a pint and cost me $5.19. It came in a heavy glass mug and was maybe 12 oz, certainly NOT a pint. The place was just about empty with only 3-4 people seated. They had 4 TVs which were showing 2 different basketball games. I asked about the hockey have and was told they would turn the Sharks on one TV, but that never happened. I finished my beer and my pizzas were promptly ready at 545pm. I told the worker "it's a shame they couldn't turn the Sharks game on". She replied, "They couldn't find it". I sat there for almost 20 minutes nursing a 12oz beer that cost $5.19 hoping to watch the Sharks game and came away disappointed from my in store experience. Did they not know how to use the TV channel guide? Couldn't they have asked me if I knew the channel? They even have a Sharks Jersey hanging up in the place. How can you NOT have the Sharks game on? Especially when it's a customer request? This is a disappointment to Sharks fans everywhere, I'm sure. So, keep in mind that this Mountain Mike's can't find the channel the Sharks game is on. Rudest man ever just answer the phone I'm not sure if he was the owner or manager but I was trying to order pizza over the phone he insisted I had to do it online white garlic sauce bacon and artichoke heart Pizza simple as that I'm in my mid-fifties I explained to him if you can if you can simply take my order because I'm having trouble ordering online he was so rude and said I can't understand you in spite of me not being one with the language barrier. I'm really not trying to be mean and saying this but if you were to try to call this location to understand that there is a language and cultural difference on the other line what really upsets me is his rudeness and just hanging up on me that I tried to call back he's purposely not trying to help me while making me wait on hold once he knows that it's me and then eventually disconnecting the call. If he cannot understand English I have no accent whatsoever then maybe he needs to get someone on the line that can take the orders instead of him being rude hanging up on people or just straight-up say hey I don't want...

I go to Mountain Mikes regularly, but this was my first time at this Mountain Mikes on Alum Rock. Very clean pizza restaurant. Pizza was hot, fresh with a good crust and lots of pepperoni. Simply delicious and best Mountain Mikes pizza. Also, got a salad, crispy fresh iceberg lettuce, plump tomatoes, baby carrots, black olives and cucumber topped off this yummy salad. Wish it had cheese and some more salad dressing, but it was very fresh tasting and presented very fresh looking in a carryout container (already made). The salad was almost $7 but good price for this size salad. My family and I have decided that this Mountain Mikes although a little further out from us, this Mountain Mikes pizza place IS our New Favorite pizza place. We look forward to going back soon!
