This is one of the places that I would 100% say is great food. Like there are restaurants that my reaction is "Yeah that's fine, it's food. I'll eat it, it's fine/good". However, this place was like, "Wow, this is actually fantastic! This is so good that I just want to keep eating, but I'm so full. I'll come back some other time." rather than just a "yeah it's good".

Got the Chicken Saag meal which came with lentils, rice, and a yogurt sauce as well as subbing the naan with paneer naan. Asked for it "pretty spicy" and it was perfect, not too spicy and not mild. It checked off all the flavor notes to hit and was nice and smooth. The chicken was done to perfection, being very tender and moist, while giving me large chunks. Having all the food together was honestly a flavor bomb for me.

GF got the Chicken Tikka Masala Meal at non-spicy. It had all the flavors she was looking for. The chicken was also done very well, as with the last dish.

The Mango lassi was tasty and at a price of $2.50 that's hard to beat.

The service was also so nice.

All of this combined makes this place one of the places that I'll go to because I really enjoy it, rather than just because I want to scratch an...

GET THE BUTTER CHICKEN!!!!! More on that below, and then even more about it further down below. This place is an excellent spot that I've ordered pickup from on multiple occasions. Really friendly service, and excellent food. My go to favorites are the butter chicken (x2 and tomorrow you will be so thankful for leftovers), okra, and palak paneer. If you get a meal for one or two of the dishes you get naan, lentils, raita, and rice. Incredible deal. The garlic naan is particularly flavorful so treat yourself.

I need to talk a little more about this butter chicken. Definitely the best I've had. They cook it in the tandoori oven so it gets a lovely aroma and color on it before they toss it in this incredibly decadent butter sauce. I literally drink it. Yes, I've put the to-go container up to my lips and taken a swig of that buttery nectar and I'm not ashamed. And then you get the bonus of fishing for little chicken treasures! Just a marvelous dish I...

This place was fantastic. First, the food: I went with my Punjabi in-laws and every dish ordered for our group of 6 was fantastic. Of particular note, the paneer tikka masala, the shrimp masala and what I can only describe as the best mango lassi I have had before. Oh and the naan was fantastic; even heated up as leftovers the following day it stood as a great example of naan. The service: this was a surprise delight, but our group had a small child with us, and by the end of our trip she clearly had charmed the older Indian grandfather-type who was our host. It felt less like going to a restaurant, and more like visiting with family. The physical atmosphere was ok. We sat inside, and it could use a remodel at some point. Will we return? Next time we are in the area definitely. The food was...

Someone recommended us to this place as we are new to San Jose. Service was great, amicable. Food was what was to be expected, no 'wow' factor albeit very good. Ordered a variety of items to morsel out - just a heads up, most items have spice. The vegetable samosa was good, cooked great with a crunchy shell but soft inside. The ground lamb kabob was a bit dry but overall okay. Rice and saag paneer were on point. Naan bread was a little dry with little taste of anything but flour. During covid, presentation of food is hard to distinguish but came in boxes and sealed containers to keep food warm.

Very generous portions and the naan was perfect. However, the vindaloo was very watery and not very flavorful. I could really only taste the vinegar and some oil, not the spice-rich vindaloo I have become accustomed to at other restaurants. There were also no potatoes, which I quite enjoy, although I did read it's more authentic for there to not be potatoes. Maybe this is the more authentic way to cook vindaloo? If so, I think I prefer the non-authentic. My boyfriend really enjoyed his korma though!
