This place is a health hazard—avoid at all costs!
I went to Mimosas of Willow Glen for a friend’s birthday on 3/15/2025, and I can confidently say this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had.
Food:
I ordered the chilaquiles (red) with two over-easy eggs, and while the dish itself was fine, nothing could make up for the absolute disaster that was the service and hygiene.
Ambiance:
The place itself is decent—not too big, and they had a DJ, which could have been a nice touch if he actually played good music and wasn’t rude to guests.
Service: Unbelievably bad
Here’s where things really went downhill. The wait: Our party of four was constantly neglected. We only saw our server about once every 30 minutes, and getting a refill on our bottomless mimosas took forever. The health hazard: This was beyond unacceptable. We noticed that instead of giving us clean glasses for each mimosa refill, the staff was simply taking our used glasses, refilling them at the bar, and handing them back out— but not necessarily to the same person! • My group started marking our glasses with tiny figures on the rim. At one point, I realized my glass had ended up at another table. • The other table noticed something odd and asked the waitress about it. Instead of admitting the mistake, she straight-up lied to them, saying the restaurant put the marker there. • After she left, I informed the other table what was actually happening—and they were just as disgusted as we were.
Resolution? A joke.
When we brought up these serious hygiene concerns, the restaurant’s only response was to comp our drinks. No apology, no acknowledgment of how dangerous this practice is, nothing.
Bottom line: If you care about your health and basic hygiene, DO NOT eat here. Their carelessness is putting customers at serious risk, and they clearly don’t care.

Read moreFirst time visiting this restaurant on Aug 27 2023 around 12noon. Our total bill was just over $100 for 3 adults plus a toddler. First impression of the interior was ok. They were busy when we arrived but we were seated within minutes. The waiter (Antonio) that took our order was pleasant but that's the only thing good about our experience. Once he took our order, we only saw him one more time when he finally brought us water 10 mins later. We noticed other waiters brought new customers water as soon as they were seated. 🤨 Then, when the food arrived, the portion size was NOT worth the value, especially the rib eye steak. It was OVERCOOKED to the point it was inedible. We asked for medium well but it was well done. Very disappointing as it was one of the most expensive specialty items on the menu. We had to ask for more napkins and water refills since no one ever checked on us, except when it was time to pay. And we weren't given a bill...the waiter told us what we owed and expected us to pay on the spot, without reviewing the breakdown of charges. Very odd. And before we left, the only woman waitress we saw asked us how was our service, I told her, "what service?" I told her how disappointing this experience was. She apologized profusely and said she'd talk to the manager. Apparently, she was in the back doing dishes and service is never this bad which made me think she's carrying a lot of the load. Read moreI want to start off by saying that we had the worst experience of our entire life at this restaurant. The guy (maybe 5’6 Latino) seemed to be the only guy working and the chef, we went around 3 PM on Saturday the sixth. When we first started to order, he cut us off and said he’d be back. He then comes back and takes a drink orders and goes to sit down and we had to remind him and ask him what happened to our drinks. Then when we’re ready to order , all of us place our orders and he goes to sit down for I’m not exaggerating about 45 minutes talking to another person who appeared to be in an interview. The chef was ringing his bell for the food being ready about four different times and it was only my group and another couple. It was completely dead in there. The guy did not apologize Until we asked him at the end he could not acknowledge what a screw he had done.
Not to mention the French toast, we ordered was missing the strawberries, the powdered sugar syrup, the tacos we had ordered, whereas though they count to the pieces of meat put into it. I got a bowl of Menudo and they gave me a tiny cup instead of the bowl. We did not see that they had messed up our food until we got home. I will 100% be posting about our experience on all platforms. This guy needs to take accountability for what he did wrong.
