TL;DR: solid food for a decent price, especially liked the daikon rice cake which I haven't seen anywhere else!

Super quick service but also gets crowded and filled up very quickly. We were lucky to get seated right away arriving at 1145 or so, but saw a long line when we were leaving. Come early if you don't want to wait!

We got two different combination rice stick bowls - one combination with soup, one combination wonton in the dry format. The soup version was pretty good, solid with a ton of ingredients included! The wontons were just ok, for only a dollar or two more though, it was good value since you get the same amount of ingredients as the regular bowl too! The dry noodles were good but not as flavorful as the ones I've ordered at Hai Ky in SF Tenderloin.

I also ordered the daikon rice cake with egg and peanut because I've never seen it at other places! It was delicious - crispy with a good flavor from the occasional pop from the preserved radish they added. It reminded me of a better daikon cake from dim sum places because of the crispy texture...

If you want Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C this is the place for you. The employees of New Tung Kee Noodle restaurant in Brokow Street in San Jose CA is in violation of public health safety in handling food. If they don't like you they will spit on your food or used DIRTY utensils. The workers are not washing their Hands after bathroom used, and if you asked who is the manager they say "l do not know". Also an obnoxious employee name Danny was blaming the customer rather than apologetic. This restaurant have been having problems with CLEANLINESS and the workers (server and cook) will serve you with a HAIR in your food or a small cockroach. Some of the workers are immigrants not sure if they are undocumented. Sure it looks brand new but really regardless it is New. The Employees do not wash their hands after bathroom and smoking outside. So if you want to be infected with Hepatitis A, B, and C, this is the place for you. Ask them where is the manager, all if the employees do not know. By the way there is no CURE for Hepatitis. Y'ALL have...

The Combination Rice Stick Soup (#1) was a tasty mix of meats. The soup base was a bit mild, but the chili sauce and jalapeno on the table added a delicious kick.

I ordered the Spicy Beef Sate Rice Stick with Peanut to go (#2). It had a rich sate flavor without being too spicy. If you want more heat, just add their chili sauce.

The Combination Chow Fun (#21) had a satisfying mix of chicken, pork, prawns, and veggies. Although I usually prefer noodle soup, this dry noodle dish impressed me with its delicious flavors.

I tried the Fried Daikon Flour Cake with Egg and Peanut (#29) for the first time. The crispy, flaky exterior of the flour cake paired perfectly with the soft inside. The daikon and fried egg combo provided a delightful texture and taste.

The restaurant is in a busy plaza with ample parking, making it convenient. The staff were friendly and quick at cleaning tables, ensuring a swift seating process. Despite a possible wait, we were seated within 3-5 minutes after putting our names on...

Until my friends from SF came to the South Bay to slurp some pho, I didn't realize I'd been eating fake Vietnamese pho all along. As a Southern person, I absolutely love slurping noodles, and the Vietnamese pho in the Bay Area is truly outstanding, renowned across the U.S. The South Bay is a paradise for pho lovers, with many Vietnamese people making the pho both cheap and delicious. My SF friends were amazed at how incredible Vietnamese pho can be. Here's a list of pho spots I've compiled with all my noodle-slurping expertise: 💜Pho Kim Long, though not as good after its renovation, still reigns as the pho king of the Bay Area. It has lots of high-quality beef and is affordable. Pho Ha Noi has successfully expanded with multiple branches, more refined than Kim Long but less down-to-earth. Pho 54 Pho Dao Leung Noodle specializes in dry noodles and pork bone soup. Pho Mai has average flavors but shines with its extensive menu and 4 AM closing time. Yummy Yummy has many dishes besides pho that are delicious. 🌟In San Jose, the further south you go, the less likely you are to find a bad pho spot. 💜Hue Beef Noodle Soup: Hue Restaurant is the best, with many tasty snacks. Bún Bò Huế An Nam has a rich broth, sweet taste, large portions, and is quite spicy. 💜Chicken Noodle Soup: Turtle Tower was the legend of Bay Area chicken noodle soup... not as good as before but still decent, with tender noodles and a fresh taste. (Just realized all these places are closed! Sad face 💔) East Bay Chicken Noodle Soup Chicken Noodle Soup 88, cheap, large portions, good value. Chicken Noodle Soup Family, many items on the menu are delicious. Wing Wah Chicken Noodle Soup ☝️The above are more Cantonese in flavor. 👇The following are more Vietnamese in taste, with lots of spices and toppings, generous meat portions, and sweet broth, not purely chicken soup flavor. Also includes Vietnamese Hainan chicken rice. Phở Gà Nhà has a sweet broth, super large bowl, and good chicken rice. Phở Gà An Nam's chicken is cut into neat pieces, can be paired with fried rice noodles, quite unique. Hai Nam has惊人的肉量, many toppings, and fragrant fried shallots. Pho Ha Noi's chicken pho is also decent. 💜Crab Noodle Soup: Nam Thanh Bánh Canh 3 has delicious crabmeat udon, rich broth, great texture. Que Ta Banh Canh Trang Bang crabmeat udon seafood noodles. Bún Riêu (Tomato Crab Noodle Soup) is available at the highly-rated pho spots mentioned above, all good, but the best I've had was homemade by my Vietnamese friends, even better with fresh crabmeat, easier broth than beef pho. Check out my cooking account @斯纳的投食日常 for recipes. 💜Teochew-style Vietnamese Noodle Soup: Focuses on seafood and pork, noodles can be rice or egg noodles, includes wontons and BBQ pork, fried noodles are also delicious, more Cantonese in flavor. New Tung Kee Noodle (潮记) Hai Ky (海记) Don't forget to ❤️🌟➕ this treasure list! All addresses are in the footer image. #HiddenGems #BayAreaEats #SanFrancisco
