Pizza Guys — Restaurant in San Jose

Received their grand opening flyers recently. My wife and I both decided to order their 2 large any toppings pizzas for a special price. In their advertised flyer, it clearly says " free" 1 liter soda with any take out orders over $25, and cannot combine with buy one get one free pizza promo. I promptly called to place 2 large pizzas and specifically asked the female employee whether the order qualified for a free 1 liter soda with my purchase. She said "yes." 25 minutes later, I'm at the business to pickup my order, and was assisted by the owner. He looked at the receipt and asked whether i would like to purchase soft drinks. I then proceeded to tell him about the free 1 liter soda promotion. He quickly rejected/denied my request, as he said I had already received a discount for my order. I questioned him about the free 1 liter and the requirements. He still insisted no free 1 liter soda. At this point, I felt the "free 1 liter soda" was a complete false advertisement, and it served me no purpose to argue with the owner. I ordered my large pizza to go. Oscar took my order over the phone. After asking him for recommendations, I decided on half pepperoni/mushroom and half cheese. I received a text that my pizza was ready for pickup and it was on time!! Michael at the front counter handed me my pizza, asked if I wanted condiments. I arrived 10 minutes later than my stated arrival time, but my pizza was still hot when I got home!! The pizza was good. It is a little thicker than my liking. I love New York thin crust pizza and Chicago pan pizza on occasion, so I would say this pizza is somewhere in between the two varieties. It was filling, and the sauce and toppings were terrific. I gave the Pizza Guys a 4 stars rating as I prefer a thinner crust pizza. But overall, the Pizza Guys pizza offers great value and they were fast with their order! There is plenty of parking in the Santa Teresa Village shopping center. The Pizza Guys is a great place to order your pizza to-go. Their hours are from 10 am - 11 pm...

Ordered pizza for the first time after receiving a coupon in the mail. The coupon prices were great but the regular menu price is really good too.

The pizza itself was amazing. Got a half cheese half crisp & cup pepperoni and it was awesome. Great ratio of cheese, sauce & dough. The crust was not too thick and was soft and doughy but still slightly crispy at the edges. Going to try the thick crust next time to see how awesome that is!
