I came here to use my $50 never used gift card to this place. It was rejected even with legitimate receipt of purchase because the owners “changed their system” so that it doesn’t support gift cards. Upon hearing about the situation, employee Kevin said he would help, but ended up ditching the store for over 30 minutes while his colleague stayed back with us. His colleague had to call Kevin multiple times just to get ahold of him because he wasn’t in the store anymore - turns out he was hiding away from the situation, and his colleague had to step in to communicate and keep us company. Ultimately, nobody was able to resolve the gift card issue even though it’s $50 unused with proof of purchase (btw, California law states that gift cards NEVER expire). I simply can’t deal with incompetent management and disrespectful service.
Not only did I leave without my food, but also with a terrible impression of the management at this place. Plus, the employee who stayed back with us recommended another better & cheaper poke bowl place down the street. There’s wayyy better options in a place...
Read moreThis place should really get no stars as the service and food are terrible at this facility. It takes a really disappointing experience like this to be awarded with such a negative review.
The only reason we chose this place was because we wanted to use a gift card. We ordered our food, tried to pay with a legitimate poki bowl gift card, but Kevin and the other server could not figure out how to use the gift card. So Kevin called his manager but apparently he is vacationing in Mexico and could not be disturbed. He called other owners and they were unhelpful too. After waiting patiently for over 30 minutes, Kevin didn't have the authority to do anything and didn't do anything for us. He hid in the back of the restaurant and was meek. As such, we left our order in disgust and disappointment. His manager, Johnathan Nguyen didn't help in any way either. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. There are much better poki bowl places with better fish, more choices for toppings, lower prices and of course, way...
Read moreI eat poke bowls at least twice a week so I came in hoping to try a new restaurant, visually my bowl looks like what I’d expect from a poke bowl but as soon as I bit into my bowl the fish had a rancid taste I got the ahi and salmon which are normally my favorites but god it was bad I had to spit it out after taking a bite of the ahi.
Poke bowls are fairly expensive so I’d expect to be able to eat mine without gagging but I just couldn’t stomach my bowl from here. The options were nonexistent and I ordered the large and still it was the same size as my go to places regular. I’m very disappointed, I personally rarely write reviews but if this can serve as a warning I suggest others to take it and find another restaurant.
I wasted 23$ I won’t be able to get back on a bowl that...
