Shastha Foods — Restaurant in San Jose

I have known Shastha foods for last 10 plus years. They strive to bring unique food products, condiments, snacks from various parts of India. The topmost items I buy from them include Idli rice, Raw rice, Millets, Vadams, Rice appalam, Pickle, Various types of batter including millet batter, adai batter, dosa and idli batter. I had lot of times requested certain items with Mr Mani Krishnan to be sourced and he has immediately obliged. Their response to serve the community by brining Kabasura Kudineer was very impressive. I am impressed with their ability to adapt to technology changes , use of robots for packing. ecommerce delivery (especially during covid). I am also giving my shout out for their Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) by supporting 40+ organizations by way of supporting the events and various activities. 100 marks to the office staff and the management in addressing any complaints. Shastha Foods is doing an incredible job in bridging the food gap between Tamil Nadu and the US. The sheer variety of rice, flours, snacks, masala powders, not to mention the healthy and fresh batters that they sell, makes me wonder how they are able to scale to this level and at the same time maintain an impeccable quality. We've ordered groceries via Shastha Foods online site several times. I was pleasantly surprised to see them home-delivered the same day or even ready to be picked up the same day within 30 minutes or less. The latest addition of Heritage rice varieties that they've added to their belt has given us connection back to our roots that would have been impossible otherwise. What a privilege especially, for the folks in the US.

Mr.Mani Krishnan is a person who has a magnanimous heart. He is the golden sponsor of practically every big event in the Bay Area and doesn't think twice before helping upcoming businesses.

I ordered from shastha foods last week (Sep 2021) and below is the order for reference. I have ordered only one time before from shastha and that was Grand snacks combo. I am really disappointed with the recent order from Shastha. I have given the details below Shastha Thattai - is very salty Shashtha Pepper Kaaaboondi MFG date is OCT 2020 Grand snacks pepper kuzhumbu and kara kuzhumbu MFG date are OCT 2020 and JAN 2021 Shastha Mille sevai - MFG Date is July 2020 Angaya podi - Aug 2020 6.Grand snacks Sambar podi , Paruppu podi MFG DATE - Jan 2021 Shastha pickles also have old date.

I actually get Aug 2021 MFG Date for all Grand snacks in my near by Grocery store. I even got Grand snacks Thattai wih MFG dates AUG 2021 yesterday. Reference Order #19953S I also emailed few days back but looks like Google reviews are taken seriously than email.So want to leave a review so that this issue...
