CHECK YOUR BILL. I stopped by this place for a quick bite while I waited for a prescription to be filled next door at Walgreens. I was brought some salsa while I waited but no chips. I figured that they didn't give chips but I saw the waitress taking chips to other tables. Oh well... I ordered a water and 2 tacos, at $2.50 a piece. I asked for corn tortillas and was brought flour. I bit into something hard on the last bite of my chicken taco and literally had to spit it back out. I went up to pay and the total was $5.80. I reminded the lady that each taco was $2.50. She agreed and said that the . 80 was tax. Well the tax in Texas is 6.25 plus an additional 2 percent that can be added by cities. That's 8.25. Not good practice to be over charging on "tax". Especially when your food is...

I've eaten here several times and the food is good, the servers are attentive, and the prices don't hurt your wallet.

I've tasted several plates...the menudo (my fave!), barbacoa, enchiladas, carne guisada....all have been tasty and you always get the "just like my mother made it" taste.

They always start you off with chips and salsa...the chips have never been stale and the salsa is usually warm and tastes fresh. The corn and flour tortillas appear to be freshly made which is how they should always be made at any respectable Mexican restaurant.

I won't give it the full 5 stars because the food is good...but there's a few places out there with say, better chilaquiles or menudo.

Great food great taste would have given five stars but waitress was lost kept on giving us three tortillas every time we asked her for some (4 times ) when everybody in the table (5) had gotten food u eat with tortillas. She confused on my order and gave me menudo instead of pozole and on top of that se assured and told me it was menudo what i ordered and on top of that she made it sound like if she was going to make me a favor by switching it. Also i ordered extra side of beans and she did...
