Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in San Juan

We have visited this location twice. Each time service has been lackluster. To be fair the server was gracious, prompt and took our order. With a couple of simple modifications. Well-done burger, No mustard, add mayo. Lemon for the iced tea. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The food arrived quickly, which was fantastic. Our drinks were almost empty. We asked for additional napkins, and refills, the server acknowledged our requests then left. Refills and napkins never came, and our modifications except for a well-done burger were never addressed.

Trying to hunt down our waitress after the food drop off was a challenge, our food was getting cold waiting for the missing condiments. Finally, we asked another server for help. Meanwhile, we are sitting with every dish on our crowded table. Pre-bussing seems to be a problem for restaurants these days. We stacked our dishes as a hint, they were eventually removed by another server. The napkins and refills never came. Our waiter surfaced eventually, just in time for the check. We tipped of course, but felt a little defeated. I felt the visit was not worth feeling this way.

Eating out is a luxury these days, for most families. What's the point of eating out, if this is going to be the new norm?

Waiting tables is not easy, but the basics of service are lacking.

Newly opened in Alamo. Wife and I stopped in for a little balentimes lunch. No wait as we elected to sit on the bar side. Server arrived almost immediately to take the drink order. Luckily we knew what we wanted we so started giving her our entrees. She never left the table and was just about to finish up the order taking when our drinks appeared to teleport to our table. That was nice. We opted for the lunch combos so that allowed us to snack on our appetizers while we waited for our main course. Main course took a little longer than the drinks but the place was pretty packed when we got there so I kinda saw that one coming.inhad the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a chicken enchilada soup. Everything was hot and fresh. Great flavor no complaints. Wife had Honey chipotle chicken crispers with street corn. She said it very good. No complaints. Server was very attentive and very courteous. This was an excellent visit. One of the best visits I've ever had to a chili's. It's newly opened so I hope they keep it up....

This place is absolutely amazing!!!!! Fast service!!! Hospitality at its finest!! Awesome food and well skilled cooks!!! My first time stepping into Chili's in Alamo, a waitress by the name Jadyn was on key point when it came to taking orders, very professional and amazing attitude, uniform was on point communication skills a 10/10!!! Cooks did amazing when it came to our food Fresh!!!! Well cooked and prepped!!! Breathtaking presentation when served!!! Sirloin steak was legendary and just what the customer ordered Texas cheese fries were bomb and full of flavor, very tasty Molten cake was a sight!!!!! Very well put together and delicious!!!
