Denny's — Restaurant in San Juan

Me and my husband’s family went here one night to have a late dinner/breakfast. I was 36 weeks pregnant and was wanting something to satisfy my craving. We went in the staff greeted us, went to our table, the waitress that was attending to us had us repeat our orders over 5 times. They were very simple orders, no cheese on this, no onions on that, add strawberries here, it was 4 of us and it wasn’t a busy day, they’re was maybe 5 other small groups of people that night. Not busy, so we were very patient with her because it looked like she was new, after 45 minutes we got one plate of food, it was made wrong so we sent it back, 30 minutes later she comes back with 3 plates but two were missing food and the 3rd was made wrong, we asked if she could have it fixed, she sighed and gave attitude towards us and became very rude. She came back clarifying our order, saying our order wrong we corrected her and she gaslighted us on what we ordered, she tried saying I ordered a medium rare burger, I hate medium rare much less risk something like that while pregnant, told her no and asked to fix it because I would not eat something I did not order. She went back and told the cooks we didn’t know how to order and that we asked for things that we didn’t at first and had her back and forth for no reason, when she came back I let her know we heard her loud conversation and that we know how to order, to not gaslight us and that we weren’t the one’s who messed up on the ordering. I used to work as waitress, I know the common rule you tell the cooks it’s the customer and you tell the customer it’s the cooks but in reality it’s just the waiters messing up. I was there and did not appreciate being bad mouthed. To top it off the restrooms were dirty, poop smeared on the walls, toilet paper and water pools all over, the dining tables full of trash and syrup all over, paper napkins and crumbs all on the chairs and floor, barely any clean or somewhat clean tables available. If you want your stay to be awful, enjoy being bad mouthed, like having your order taken wrong, waiters looking down on you, cooks being rude, and gaslighted by all means come to this location. No one cares enough to clean, much less have a good decent staff employed. Hire better employees and train them properly because believe me we notice everything and...

I don’t usually post reviews on google but I just had to for this restaurant. My husband and I love Denny’s and always go to different locations with pleasant experiences... until last night. We went to only two people doing everything, our waitress (Gina) had took quite a while to take our drink order so we decided to put in our food at the same time since we knew she was busy. She went to the computer to put in the order and we could tell she was confused and had already messed up because she was just standing there for 10 minutes, us still drinkless. Eventually she bought them but only to forget half of them. She said the food would take a while because there’s only one cook which was fine... 1 hour later there was still no food. No one wants to wait that long especially being hungry. When she bought out the food stuff was missing and some things were incorrect. We asked for blueberry pancakes, they were plain. Biscuits and Gravy, it had no sausage in the gravy... and when we asked her about it she said “Yeah I forgot” and bought two sausage links..? There was also a cricket going around and she decided to step on it and spill all its guts out right in front of our table, which was disgusting. When we tried asking why everything was so bad she claimed “the cook doesn’t want to cook anything” like how is that our problem? This is a restaurant, he is on paid time.. what does that even mean “doesn’t want to cook”. We asked to get some things removed from our receipt and the waitress and so much attitude for no reason. Don’t like your job? Get a new one. Don’t go around giving people bad experiences and attitude. We will NEVER be eating at this location again. UPDATED REVIEW I ADDED SOME STARS AND THEY HAVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN. I DID HAVE TO SEND MY EGGS BACK AGAIN HOWEVER THIS ISN'T U USUAL AS FAR TOO MANU SHORT ORSER COOKS GET OVER MEDIUM EGGS WRONG. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS AWESOME THIS TIME. My original post from March Good service and better then average for Dennys I had the new strawberry cheesecake slam highly recommend it but get the strawberry on the side last time I had it it was too much this time I put it on to my liking. What else can I say it's Dennys and is always a decent breakfast some are just better then others thisbones a good one. October 16th... Update... I'm back in town and went to eat here again and this time I was disappointed she gave me a dirty clearly used coffee cup had lipstick on the rim and the usual dribbles from coffee on the side. Clearly it hadn't been washed with a hard lipstick stain but actually dirty like she pulled it from the buss bin. I ordered over medium eggs that means... Whites done yolk soft so you know. They were over easy and had to be sent back.... Last time I was in town I ate here multiple times because it was always great service and food. I am not an asshole I know it's not easy being a waitress or short order cook. But not noticing a clearly filthy used cup and then the eggs. I gave her 25$ for a $21.20 order.
