Great wine selection (but pick your night wisely!)

We visited The Wine Spot in San Juan and loved the concept! You can load a card for self-serve wine tasting, which gives you full control over your wine journey. We spent $50 and received $75 worth on the card, a great deal!

The wine selection is impressive, with bottles from all over: France, Italy, Spain, as well as California, Chile, and Argentina. You can choose from 3 pour sizes per wine, with prices ranging from about $2 to $10 for the smallest size and up to $40 for a full glass of high-end options.

Unfortunately, we happened to go on a night when a basketball game was playing loudly on the TV. We were seated right next to it, which really affected the mood and made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. Because of that, we decided not to use the full card amount and saved the rest for a second visit.

Went on Wednesdays lady night and the wine deals were worth the price! Tried a little bit of everything for both food and wines as they have quite a selection. I went solo, no prior meals eaten and finished two appetizer dishes with ease. I will say to be aware that tip could already be included in the bill, i feel like most places in San Juan let you know tip is included but when I went here, i didn’t see it and waitress didn’t tell me so I ended up double tipping. No big deal really but...

We found this place last minute and took a chance since the reviews were so excellent - so glad we did! Ivan and Victoria were amazing and the service was so excellent. Ivan made sure we had everything we needed and Victoria recommended us a couple of wines too which was appreciated as there is a lot of choice! Such a fun concept and a completely different experience to any dinner we had in PR so far.
