Let's start with the positives. If you're a fan of slot machines, this place has plenty to offer. The casino boasts a wide variety of slot games that should keep avid players entertained for hours. It may not be the largest selection, but you'll likely find something to suit your taste.
However, one aspect that left me a bit disappointed was the state of the bathrooms. Unfortunately, they were not up to the cleanliness standards I would expect from a casino. It's something management should pay closer attention to, as maintaining a clean environment is crucial for a positive overall experience.
One area of the casino that caught my attention was the sportsbook. As someone who enjoys watching games while indulging in a little gambling, I was excited to spend some time here. However, I was taken aback by the hefty charge of $150 per person just to access the sportsbook. While the experience was decent, the price seemed excessively high, especially for those who simply wanted to watch the games.
Despite the relatively high fee, the sportsbook did provide an enjoyable atmosphere for sports enthusiasts. The large screens and comfortable seating created a suitable environment to catch up on the latest matches. If you're willing to pay the extra cost, it could be a great place to immerse yourself in the action.
In terms of overall ambiance, this small casino manages to create a cozy atmosphere that can be quite inviting. While it may not have the grandeur of larger establishments, it has its own charm. The staff members were friendly and attentive, ensuring that guests were taken care of during...

The slot machines are quite consistent. They don't pay out much, unless you bet the max, for a while. I don't do the tables. Bathrooms facilities are limited which they try to keep clean. But sometimes the Casino is so heavily attended that it becomes difficult to keep up. Most certainly the casino can use a few more bathrooms.
There are free dining events on a weekly basis and they have free buzz and snacks all the time, if a waiter is available. The casino food is decent but not outstanding. But again it is for free. You get what you pay for. They also have daily bingo and cash drawing prizes. They also have drawings for cruises, not sure how frequently.
As most casinos it is very popular with the Social Security crowd. Some guests believe they own the machines and monopolized them even when they are not playing them. Even though this practice is against the casino rules, it doesn't seem to be enforced consistently by the casino administration.
For the last six years I have visited Casino Del Mar frequently when I am in PR, which happens every other month. The casino is at walking distance one block away from where I stay. As I don't officially reside in PR I am not member of their VIP club, who I understand get better services...
Read moreAs far as casinos go in San Juan, this one is bigger and better than the Marriott Stellaris down the street. Casino Del Mar has better and faster dealers and they're much friendlier. They're cocktail waitresses are constantly moving around and getting you drinks which is also nice. It really functions like a true casino should. That being said, the last time I was there they only had three blackjack tables open. The one Vegas style deal was a $50 minimum and the two other tables that had lower minimums where everyone else wanted to play were both London deal which most everyone did not want to play. One of the London deal tables was actually empty and the dealer was just sitting there. I watch that table be empty for a good 30 minutes before I approached the pit boss and asked him why he doesn't turn that table into a regular Vegas style deal instead of a London deal so all these people would sit down and play and he said he couldn't. To me, that was a ridiculous answer and bad business decision. All of these people that were wanting to play and bring their money to the table and instead were just standing around because they were taking a hard line as to how they wanted to deal the game of blackjack at that one table....
