La Placita de Santurce is the heart and soul of nightlife in San Juan! During the day, it’s a vibrant market filled with fresh produce, local goods, and a charming sense of community. But once the sun goes down, it transforms into one of the liveliest spots in the city.
The energy here is unmatched—music fills the air, people are dancing in the streets, and the restaurants and bars surrounding the plaza offer delicious food and drinks. Whether you’re in the mood for authentic Puerto Rican dishes, a refreshing mojito, or just want to dance to salsa or reggaeton, this is the place to be.
The mix of locals and tourists makes it feel authentic yet welcoming. Everyone is there to have a good time, and the vibe is contagious. I’d recommend coming early to grab dinner and then staying as the nightlife picks up—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
Just a heads-up: it can get crowded, so plan accordingly, and parking in the area might take a little effort. But once you’re there, you’ll quickly forget about any hassle. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and unforgettable night out...

His response was certainly not the response I had expected. I told the man that I indeed understood that and also keep this as a holy day. Rather than going to a restaurant and making many people work to feed me, my thought was I could buy local fresh products and cook for myself. Oh, by the way, my parents are from Puerto Rico. This is not how they taught me to speak to anyone. After being talked to so rudely I will likely never go to the Plaza del Mercado in...
Read moreIf you want to dance all night long, this is the place for you. Plenty of places around to buy all the alcohol you could ever drink, but it's an all night street party with plenty of people dancing in the streets until the wee hours. My brother and I had an amazing time, dancing, drinking, and talking with all the people around us. We ended up chatting for awhile with Mike and Venus from New Jersey while we danced with anyone and everyone around us. It was probably the most fun I've had in years, though I ended up sore like crazy the next day because I haven't danced for 3 hours straight in 20 years. Absolutely worthwhile and I...
