We have some unfortunate news and are disappointed to announce Drakes Brewery has pulled their sponsorship, only three days before Fans Fest. LDB/68’s have incurred expenses purchasing sponsor banners, a digital marketing package and had rented equipment to set up a Drakes beer booth but are now left with no Drakes beer to serve and banners we will have to be recreated and printed just days before the event. They were our first beer sponsor, and we were so thrilled to announce them. The announcement of their support and sponsorship of Fans’ Fest was very well received by the Oakland 68’s and Last Dive Bar’s combined 30k+ followers across social media platforms. Unfortunately to see that support not come to fruition is very, very disheartening. These fans don’t deserve another beloved “community favorite” turning their backs on them.
Our coordinating team were only provided with “unforeseen circumstances” as a reason as to why they were pulling their sponsorship.
They have not provided any further details despite us seeking further clarification via email.
For every sponsor supporting Fans Fest a digital media package is created for each one. Posters and banners were made. For beer sponsors, equipment is rented as well.

Drake's Brewing is quite a bit better than most other breweries in the Bay area. They aren't just like BJ's, Gordon Biersch, Faultline, or other "brew pubs" in the area. They're a full blown industrial operation that's open to the public for tastings and it's a great way to try more of their offerings than what's regularly seen in bars or stores. They're widely known for their 1500 and IPA, which appears on a lot of local liquor store shelves, but at their actual brewery, they showcase more than fifteen different beers on tap! There's a lot of big beers like barleywines and imperial stouts, and some barrel aged varieties as well. Their bigger beers taste rather sweet and are delightful to drink.
There's lots of room here and they have plenty of parking as well, so bring a big group of friends with you! They have board games here as well, so it's easy to kill a lot of time while...
Read more10/10 would recommend for those who enjoy breweries/beers to stop by - the vibes are immaculate, the staff was super nice, and the service was amazing!
recently stopped by to grab a drink; it was such a fun space to be at! some of my favorite elements would be the spacious indoor seating area whether you're visiting with a bigger or smaller party - you'd be sure to find a spot that works for you. they do have some outdoor seating available which i feel like would be super nice especially when the weather gets better!
i personally tried drake's ipa - best coast India pale ale which i enjoyed as it had some earthiness intermixed with some slight hints of citrusy flavors.
tips: for some reason, i had such a hard time finding this spot :( so for those who struggled to find drake's it's directly next to walmart and slightly deviated to the side/past the small parking lot! unisex bathroom available lots of parking available friends, family, dates, and groups friendly foods available but i didn't...
