My stay was in Oct 2023. It was by far the most disappointing part of our trip and has made me think about never supporting a small bnb again. If I knew how bad everything would turn out, I would have not even unpacked and found new accommodations immediately. Our room was warm and uncomfortable (no ac, which we weren't aware of, but we kept balcony open), we were only given breakfast one day (4 night stay), and quite frankly the building was unkempt and smelt like a mix of damp, dog, and cannabis. Timothy verbally agreed that because of the lack of breakfast they would take off a nights stay which I accepted. They charged my card for the 3 nights ($600 roughly) and we left. Later, my card was reversed the charge and I got charged the full 4 nights. ($800 roughly) I then opened a dispute with my credit card, which I believe I ultimately lost because I tried to get the full amount back instead of just the 1 night stay. I made that decision because the more I reflected, the more I was upset and just wanted my money back. I was also given a very rude and completely blasphemous letter from the Inn Owner during the dispute (who I did not actually ever get to speak to, despite calling multiple times) I would highly, highly recommend staying elsewhere. For $200+ a night I expect a clean, comfortable room and kind service. All of which I did...
Read morePlease don't take my 4 stars as a criticism. I give out 5 sparingly on hotels. The reason I say this is that while it is a lovely lodging, it has a more " lived in " look to it in that some of the antiques are in an unrestored condition. Not necessarily a bad thing at all, the inn just doesn't" have the pristine look of some B&Bs. Having said that, my stay was very enjoyable and Georgia a personable hostess who makes a good breakfast. I had arrived on Amtrak from the northe and it is exactly a one mile walk to the inn - easy to find, but most folks would probably prefer a ride. There are no TVs and phones in this inn, which is fine with me. ( These days I bring up National Public Radio on my iPad! ) The collection of antiques and mementoes is quite interest provoking and I learned something from Georgia - Obispo...
Read moreHmmm ... well this place is ok but it's in need of "better/proper mngmnt " that said the house keeping is bad. The place needs to be cleaned thoroughly . I also had a friend that stayed here and unfortunately she didn't have a cell so wen I would call the person running the B&B would never answer the phone according to him he said "that he wouldn't answer # that he didn't recognize" mind you this is a place of business so I'm sure if anything you would have to answer all calls in order to rent rooms out... it would seem to me that he was avoiding renting rooms out . I do think the place has potential but it is in need of a good deep cleaning and some one who is willing /wants to work /answer calls and run the place so that it...
