As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by an overwhelming sense of coziness that instantly transported me back to my childhood home. The warm welcome I received from the staff felt so genuine, reminiscent of my mom's joyful greetings every time I return home. It truly set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible dining experience.
We decided to order two bowls of menudo, and when they arrived, they were served hot and fresh, steaming beautifully in front of us. I have to admit that I usually shy away from Mexican restaurants these days; it seems like many have strayed from the authentic flavors I grew up with. But coming from a Mexican family, my standards for Mexican food, especially here in California, are pretty high.
What pleasantly surprised me was witnessing a mother and her son managing the restaurant all on their own. Their dedication and passion were evident in every aspect of the meal. The moment I tasted the food, it transported me straight back to my mother-in-law's inviting kitchen. It was as if I had never left home; I felt a deep sense of comfort and nostalgia enveloping me throughout my meal.
Adding to the atmosphere was the carefully chosen music, which brought back memories of Sunday mornings spent at home, when my mom would be busy cleaning and singing along to her favorite tunes. It's rare for me to find a Mexican restaurant that resonates with my expectations and tastes, especially since my arrival here, but this place truly hit the mark.
I can confidently say that I’ll be returning here often, and I genuinely hope they maintain the same high quality. Keep up the...
Read moreTerrible experience. Go somewhere else! Walked in and was nicely greeted. Asked the very nice lady if they have shredded chicken quesadillas, to which she replied “yes, yes we do” and also I ordered a soda from their fountain drink. Now, it’s goes downhill. The Coke, Fanta, and Dr Pepper had lost their carbonation and their sweetness, so u let them know and they tried fixing it, but couldn’t so I just asked for a Horchata instead because my food was ready and didn’t want to take up their time. I said thanks and left. On my way to the car I took a sip of the horchata and it was apparent that it was powdered and insanely sweet, and actually made me feel like I had sandpaper on the inside of my throat, at this point I said screw it, I’ll just have a soda at home, and I went to look in my order to make sure they got it correct and it was a GRILLED chicken quesadilla. I went back inside and explained they got it incorrect and they the same lady insisted that I had said only “chicken quesadilla”. I asked for a refund and she was muttered more under her breath directly in front of me. I paid with card and got cash back. Will NEVER be going back to this place and hope others will read this review. Taco Bell has...
Read moreI enjoy it. I also saw the video of the banshee girl cursing and throwing things at a cashier who is a minor, with her parent of the year mother thinking it throws this place in a bad light. Like an incorrect order justifies throwing things at people and acting like a mental patient in a taco shop. To then have the nerve to try to call out someone else. You should be ashamed of yourself. Imagine having a nuclear freakout at a taco shop over a wrong order and then going online to do a review as if you're just a normal diner and not some ranting lunatic who's gonna end up in jail because you don't know how to act. And then you and your idiot mother are gonna badmouth this place when it's you two who are clearly the unhinged animals in this equation. So please, tell us more about you getting the wrong burrito, while social media has fun with your...
