Reached out to Urban Ritual two times a week ago with the following feedback without any response from them. Same problem with the Ube tea, received half the pudding in my tea compared to what they show in their product photos.

"The creme brulee milk tea is my favorite and I get it regularly from the San Jose location and even the one San Francisco. I've even had the pleasure of having this at Outside Lands many times.

I've to say every time I've tried the San Mateo store (third time today) the tea is somewhat lacking. The pudding tastes of raw eggs today and the actual tea flavor is diluted. And this is after less ice so no added dilution from water. The torches brown sugar isn't enough either. I would have come back to return it but already left.

At close to 7 bucks, this is not a cheap drink by any means and sorry to say this location does not match the quality and experience of the...

Solid boba tea, I very much enjoyed the toffee bits in the drinks that offered it, so unique to have a bit of crunch in the drink along with the tapioca pearls. I heard if you take it to go that they put the toffee is out on the side so that it won’t dissolve in the drink before you get to have it!

I also got the pear pandan tea to try as one of their seasonal items. The pandan flavor which I was most excited about doesn’t hit you till the end and even then it was pretty subtle. I might get it a bit more sweet but it otherwise was mostly like a regular clear green tea drink, I would probably just opt for the milk teas.

The space was a bit small but really cute. This location was pretty popular after dinner so it was a little bit of a wait to get out drinks. Luckily there were 2 tablets to order from if someone else was taking a bit longer to decide on...

I'm so excited that Urban Ritual opened outside of San Francisco!

This place has amazing tea. Their tea options are not only unique but taste great! In terms how they stand out compared to other boba/tea places in the area, I'd say their tea offerings and unique flavor combinations are what stand out.

I personally love their white grape oolong tea since it's super fragrant and refreshing and not many places have it. They have their own unique twist with yuzu that's also delicious. For milk tea, I love going with the classic. Their tea really shines in the drink and I like how you can customize almost everything in the drink (they even have pea, oat, and macadamia milk options). I prefer 30% for sugar level where it's slightly sweet. Overall, this place doesn't seem to be super sweet.

It's super new so come try it out before it gets...

Was in the San Mateo area for lunch so decided to stop by Urban Ritual to try out their matcha. Was definitely a bit disappointed. First off, ordering is an absolute pain. They just have a half-working ipad for ordering and it takes super long to order. I had to jump through a few screens to ordered their matcha green tea with boba. The matcha had a very heavy after-taste. Not smooth at all. Super thick, slimey feel in the mouth after each sip wasn't pleasant. Fortunately, the boba was cooked well, so that saved a star, but overall, would not recommend their matcha tea at all. Entire street is blocked off. Parking is definitely tough.

I always see this place, but never had the chance to try it. I finally got the chance to try their drinks at the San Mateo location. You can only order online through the website. We ordered the creme brulee and guava pastelitos. The creme brulee drink was sweet, but honestly not overly sweet as I would have expected. The guava pastelitos was sour to my tastes, but my friend really loved it. Their boba was really good quality. It was fresh and cooked just right. i would love to come again soon, but I don't think I would get the creme brulee drink again. It was really sweet, but I would like to try their house milk tea.
