Review: I recently had the pleasure of revisiting the House of Bagels in San Rafael and was thoroughly impressed by the transformation it has undergone under its new ownership. The place is now run by two young, passionate entrepreneurial brothers who have clearly poured their hearts and souls into reviving this local gem. From the moment I walked in, the improvements were noticeable. They've given the interior a fresh coat of paint, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.
One of the most significant upgrades is to the coffee station. The brothers have ensured that all the coffee machines are in top working order, guaranteeing every cup of coffee served is piping hot and delicious. This commitment to quality extends to every corner of the establishment, including the refrigerators, which have been meticulously cleaned and organized, showcasing their dedication to providing the best for their customers.
What sets this place apart, however, is the infectious positivity and smiles from the owners. It's evident they take pride in their new location and are eager to make every customer's experience memorable. Their hard work and dedication to revitalizing the House of Bagels have not gone unnoticed, and it's heartening to see such commitment in our community.
If you've visited this spot in the past and left feeling less than satisfied, I strongly encourage you to give House of Bagels another chance. Supporting hard-working business owners like these brothers is not just about enjoying a great bagel and coffee; it's about fostering a sense of community and backing those who are genuinely invested in making a difference. Let's show our support for their incredible effort and make House of Bagels a staple in San...
Read moreI went on DoorDash to order a bagel today. I selected a gluten free seedy bagel which is an option. A few weeks ago this same thing happened, and I have a severe gluten allergy and got extremely sick for a week. I noticed the bagel smelled like wheat and there was no way it was gluten free. I thought I'd give them a second chance but received the same bagel as last time today.
I called the store and asked what brand of gluten free bagels they use to double check and was told "they're out of gluten free so they gave me a regular one". This is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I was not told this before I got my order, no call or any notification. I told the guy on the phone I have a severe allergy and that's not ok. I simply would've taken a refund and ordered something from somewhere else but there was zero communication. Thank god I noticed the bagel didn't look gluten free and it was also suspicious that it wasn't seedy and just a plain bagel and I called to check. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and told me this wasn't his problem and he didn't care after I told him I have an allergy and they can't just be giving people who order a gluten free bagel a regular one.
House of Bagels: DO BETTER. Giving someone who has a gluten allergy a regular wheat bagel without notifying them is a BIG DEAL and not ok. I cannot believe I was treated the way I was on the phone. I will never order from here again. Anyone who has an allergy, beware of this place. I am...
Read moreNOT COVID SAFE! if you check out their yelp reviews too there are more like this. It was my first and last time visiting this place today. I ordered a latte and egg/cheese bagel. Instead of announcing when either of my items were done they left it on the counter, where other customers grabbed my coffee and bagel on accident. The shop owner grabbed them from their hands and then handed it to me. I was in a rush so I didn’t want to ask for another one, but I was really surprised they are allowing that. The bagel itself was greasy and the scrambled egg didn’t...
