Royal Ground Coffee — Restaurant in San Rafael

I am using an alternate account that isn't even a real name as I don't want to put my name out there but let me assure you this review is legitimate i every sense. I love this place so much as Lenny and Chang (The extremely sweet owners) always are so sweet with a smile on there face. I don't normally write reviews but went on google to see if they were open during Covid-19 for takeout. They build wonderful owner-costumer relationships. The coffee and pastries are so good. I used to go every day on my way home from school until I hit highschool (current) and cannot go as often as it isn't as near. If I could I would and miss the routine of my daily runs. I am about to go get some to go in a little under an hour. What inspired me to write this besides loving this business is a response that was so false I couldn't stand by. In response to what looks to be the one of the only 1 star review from a customer Ibrahim is extremely false as they are quite the opposite I found that most, by far of his reviews are 1 star. If they treated you like that I would be surprised but no disappointing judging by your reviews you deserved worse. You seem to have an issue with everyone and their businesses. I a a frequent at not only this cafe but also Aroma and Arezmendi. And the customer service is good at all of them but amazing at Royal Ground. This is coming from a 15 year old who, evidently has more common sense than you. If you made it to the end of this novel of a review I am writing during an online class I highly encourage you to go by this business and support the family run business....

Royal Ground Coffee is more than just a coffee shop to me. Almost everything I could say about this place would not do it justice. Their drink menu is impressively delicious, with a variety of options for casual to serious coffee drinkers. Their drinks are all very affordable, being noticeably cheaper than your usual Starbucks or Peet’s. The actual place has a very comfy, rustic vibe to it. Multiple times I’ve found myself spending hours there working or just chatting with friends. The service is also excellent. You’ll get your order less than a minute after you place it and it’s always the right temperature. The staff is also wonderful, and you can tell that they really value their customers. Royal Ground Coffee is sadly closing in September, 2022, so if you have time in the morning and you’re in the area, I highly suggest visiting it. I am a regular for several reasons. Lenny roasts his own beans, from which they know how to pull a great shot of espresso. With great espresso, he and his staff can make the best coffee drinks in Marin. They also carry my favorite protein power bar, homemade from whole grains and peanut butter, with low sugar--terrific with coffee. The atmosphere is conducive to working: writing, drawing, studying, because the customers are usually quiet and polite, and the owners handle the street people before they can make a ruckus or trash the bathroom--which is always clean and fresh.
