Generally a good Peet's location. I've only been here a few times, I usually go to the one over on Bollinger, but next time I want to get work done from a coffee shop I think I'll give this one a go. The one on Bollinger has better outdoor seating though, it's not on the walkway.
It seems to have a more relaxed atmosphere with a slightly less polite clientele. Not sure why the people who go here seem so different from one exit over to this one, but that's the feeling I get. That said the people behind the counter are nice, and I think that has a lot to do with the general vibe of the place.
Like most Peet's they do a good, sometimes fairly good, cappuccino and a very good cup of drip coffee. They do better than some locations at getting things out to the customers in good time. Read moreMy wife went into this San Ramon coffee shop about two o'clock today to buy a pound of coffee to be freshly ground. There was only one person ahead of her in line.
The young woman at the counter took my wife’s order then asked her to wait. The employee said she would bring my wife the coffee when it was ready.
Three or four more customers ordered after my wife. Finally the employee pulled the beans out of the drawer, but immediately stopped because she recognized another customer coming in the door.
She began to chat with that man. Soon he pulled out his phone and began showing the employee pictures. After they finished looking at pictures, she took his order.
At that moment, another employee came off break and finished my wife’s order.
Basically, it took almost 15 minutes after my wife ordered to get her coffee because four customers were bumped ahead of her.
