I placed a mobile order as soon as I pulled into the stall — nothing complicated: two slushes, a wrap, and a small mozzarella sticks with one marinara and one ranch. A small enough order that should’ve easily met Sonic’s “Out the door in under 4” motto.
Instead, I waited 14 minutes.
When my order finally came out, I was told they were out of watermelon slushes. Not a big deal — I asked for a Lemon Berry instead. While the carhop went back inside to make the new slush, I checked the bag and saw that the sauces I ordered were missing.
When he returned, I politely started to ask if I could get them — but before I could even finish my sentence, he turned around and walked off without saying a word. I tried calling out, “Excuse me,” but got no response. So I had to press the red button to request help again.
Thankfully, a second employee came out, and he was polite and brought the sauces without any issue — the only positive part of the experience.
Unfortunately, this isn’t a rare thing at this location. Every time I visit (or hear from others who do), there’s usually a problem — whether it’s delays, missing items, or unprofessional service. The only reason this Sonic stays in business is because it’s the closest one to the people of Sand Springs. Honestly, the only way to truly fix this location might be to demolish it and start over.
I hope management seriously rethinks how this store is run. It has potential — it just never seems to reach it.

Read moreI do not usually do these things but today was completely ridiculous. I took my granddaughter This afternoon between games at Case Park. Ordered a #10 with 3 large drinks. 2 ocean water, 1 cherry limeade. Waited 47 minutes. That wasn’t really a big deal because I enjoyed time with my granddaughter just talking. She is eight. They had to come out to take order, young lady was sweet. 15 minutes later, young man comes out and says we are out of foot longs. I said ok but mine is chicken sandwich. 20 min later I get food. I tell gd to start eating because be gametime soon. I eat a fry, it was soggy cold and tasted like a corn dog and French toast sticks. The sandwich was yo just be chicken and bread; it’s loaded! We were supposed to have side of ranch; none. I tip the car hop five dollars to run n get ranch n ketchup. He never returns. I call back; another 10 minutes they return. Read moreI’ve been in a stall waiting for 3 drinks for 15 minutes while I’ve seen 15-20 cars go through the drive through to pay for and receive their orders. It never fails at this location. They cannot handle both the drive through and the stalls. I’ve came here when they’ve had to shut the drive they down because they cannot do both. I come here for convenience but, it is ALWAYS at least a 25 minute wait….for drinks. The stalls right now are completely full with cars that have not been visited since I’ve been here. Why only here? It has to be management. I would love to see their loss reports for this location. Because, I’m about to drive off and just go home. The kids are usually very nice but, this location isn’t ran very well or they cannot keep employees. Which points to one thing, in my opinion. I will never come here again. I’ll drive the extra 2 miles to Prattville. It’s sad I live down the street but have to drive to another city to visit a Sonic.
