Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Sand Springs

My girlfriend and I came here to try out the new Sand Springs location. I didn’t remember if we have ever had Tropical Smoothie cafe before. This location was very clean and modern. It’s also in a great location. Our smoothies were both very tasty. I got one with strawberry, pineapple and banana and it was everything I hoped for. My only complaint is that the employees seemed like some young kids who didn’t have very good customer service skills. They didn’t treat us badly or anything, they just seemed unskilled. My girlfriend got a quesadilla and they forgot her salsa she wanted and we had to get up and go ask for it. Overall, not a big deal just some things they need to improve upon and once time goes on I’m sure things will get better. Also I feel like the prices are inflated for what you get. There seems to just be one price and one size of smoothie unless I’m mistaken. It’s a large smoothie but for basically $7 each I just don’t know if it’s the best value. If you have the money and want a great tasting smoothie I would say try this place...

Some places like Tropical Smoothie in store menu are MISLEADING and DECEPTIVE in their pricing…ETC. YOU PAY FOR MORE SMOOTHIE THAT IS LEFT OVER AND DOES NOT FIT IN YOUR CUP. Smoothie Add - ins are listed as being .99, BUT IT DOES NOT SHOW THAT SUPPLEMENT ADD - INS ARE MORE MONEY….$1.59. I stopped eating most of the food, because it’s really terrible and NOT worth the money, after they stopped doing their weekly $5.00 special. 11/5/2023 Some current employees don’t seem to really care about being nice, listening when taking orders, spelling names correctly on orders….ALL THEY SEEM TO CARE ABOUT IS BEING LOUD, FAST, AND COMPETITIVE. I pretty much had my order thrown at me. They throw things around LOUDLY AND DROP THINGS LIKE THEY DON’T CARE. AND STAY IN THE BATHROOM A LONG TIME.

BTW….it’s true customers MOST of you are …..UNAWARE THAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR MORE smoothie that does NOT fit in the cup size you are paying for…this is just one of the many reasons smoothies are OVERPRICED. Employees throw out OR EAT what does NOT fit...

The hospitality & customer service sucks. My husband stopped in at this location around 7:45 Friday Oct. 6th. There was 2 girls working. There was 1 car in front if us & we waited 15mins. For our order. After waiting about eight minutes for the car in front of us to clear out we pulled up to the window. The girl did not think us for patiently waiting.She did not address us.She did not tell us our total.She did not take a payment she walked off. The two girls kept walking back and forth Avoiding eye contact and not speaking to us. After waiting another six minutes she finally This came to the window and told us our total. She could see we were a little irritated but we didn't say anything. She gave us this little smirk grin & shut the window again. After seeing our drinks were already sitting there. She walked off again then came back & handed us our smoothies. She KNEW what she was doing & her & the other girl thought it was cute. I WILL NEVER BE BACK AT THIS...
