Parking is free if you can find a spot, which we did around the corner. We sat in the bar at a small round table for 2 next to a larger party of people and a table that was marked reserved due to a huge hole in the ceiling. Free chips with two different salsas, mild & hot, were excellent to start off with. The hot was not hot was more of a medium. Ordered the Huckleberry Mule, which was weak and flavorless tasting...wish I would have ordered a beer like my husband. For dinner, I ordered chicken fajitas with four flour tortillas. I was surprised when they came out on a plate and not a skillet. As you can see in my photo, you have to search for the meat. I had a total of 6 small pieces of chicken and a bucket load of veggies. Also, there are very little rice and beans, but a good scoop of guacamole and sour cream. When I first saw my plate, I wondered if I had received a vegetarian dish. I had enough for 2 bites of chicken on 3 tortillas and a lot of veggies. My hubby ordered the Steak Ranchero, which comes in either mild or hot tomato- garlic sauce with a choice of tortilla shells. He went with the hot because the "hot" salsa was not spicy. This was actually really spicy, and he went through a lot of water. A scoop of sour cream would have been nice. His dish had a lot of veggies but a decent amount of meat, too. His photo turned our blurry, but it gives you an idea. He liked his dish as the top sirloin was good, but again, overkill on veggies. Staff were very friendly, but a little slow on service.

We decided to come here to check it out. It was a Friday night as was quite busy. Walking in you are greeted by the host right away. She was very nice and seated us promptly. We were greeted by our server relatively quickly even though he had the bar area as well. We ordered our drinks. Then the chips and salsa came out. The chips were decent and were warm when arriving at our table. They also give you two types of salsa, mild and hot. The beers were nice and cold, martini was smooth and at a good price, and they made a mean pineapple mojito! We all ordered and it didn't take too long to get our food. The tacos were great! BF ordered a taco and tamales. He enjoyed both. His dad and mother-in-law enjoyed their food too. The food had great flavor. Our server Patrick was great! We even met the owner, which was nice as well. Everyone enjoyed their food as well as their time here. Will be back.

I have gone a few times with my wife. She likes the food but I think it is just okay. The flavor doesn't pop. Recently I ordered pickup and was suprised to see a 10% take out gratuity. Seriously?!?! So now there is a fee for buying a product that does not require service or anything extra on their part. Wow! I realize this is a hot topic, but to me it is pretty simple. Tipping is for service and better tips for great service. Way to stick it to the customers Jalapenos, we won't be back.

I had one of the worst restaurant experiences in my life here, March 9, 2021. The waitress followed me outside! And I will never go back here, ever again. And I will tell others. The manager on duty will know the waitress I had after reading this review. To make a long story short, I ordered fajitas without any carbs. I was very nice about the request, not demanding at all. I asked if I could have more chicken substituted for not eating any of the carbs it came with. She said it would be a $6 upcharge. I agreed, even though that made one fajita dinner $22. When I got my meal, it was a moderate amount of chicken but not enough to fill me up or constitute charging me $6. The waitress denied this, telling me she'd need to charge me another $6 for more chicken. Ridiculous! The meal was only chicken and veggies. Now up to $28 for one fajita dinner. The waitress then got the manager, making it a big deal over essentially nothing! I know she was trying to probably fix the situation, but it did not need to be such an issue in the first place. The restaurant made this is an issue, not me. The manager said she'd wave the $6 and get me more chicken. She did bring out more chicken but did not wave the $6. Then, after I ordered a cocktail, my waitress brought it out to me, and said, "This should help you out," as if to imply the whole situation was because I was being demanding and needing alcohol to calm me down. So rude. I just wanted to leave at this point. I tipped the waitress very low, as she denied the problem in the first place (I get she doesn't portion things), made me feel like I was causing the problem, and made the rude comment about the alcohol. It gets worse: Halfway down the block, the waitress who served me came out of the restaurant and onto the street and yelled at me: "You forgot something!" She then gave me the tip I had left her back. I told her no. And she insisted I take the tip back, telling me her "dignity was worth more than that." It was insane. Never in my life I have had a server act this inappropriately. It doesn't matter how a situation can make you feel, you should never act like this, especially toward a customer, and especially right now when restaurants are closing all over America because of COVID-19 and the economy. The whole thing, especially how the waitress acted,...

Ordered takeout over the phone. Was told 10 to 15 min. Arrived at the restaurant 15 min later and my order was still not ready. Asked about my order and was told I'll get your hostess for you. No one ever came back but two separate order to go where eventually brought out and set on a side table. I asked if it was my food and was told someone is getting it for me now. Sat there for 20 more minutes. The two food orders are still sitting on the side table getting cold. My friend went to look at the Togo orders and saw that my name was on one of them so she asked if we could just get our food and pay for it so we can go. They said that's not your order we said yes it is it has my name on it. After I paid and got into my car someone comes out of the restaurant yelling wait you have the wrong order and takes our food back into the restaurant. Another 10 minutes goes by she brings it back. We asked if it could please be warmed up and was told it already was warm. An hour of my order sitting around goes by already jeez! Get home with the food and it's freezing cold and dry. They didn't give me rice and forgot my Ice tea. Was left hungry and tired this night. Don't recommend this restaurant at all. There is another Mexican food restaurant in the area, I recommend you go...
