JD's Burger Co & Sushi — Restaurant in Sandwich

The cashier overcharged us by $8, realized her mistake and said nothing. The manager made us pay for the order twice ($61 for 2 burgers) assuring us it was the only way to be refunded for the overage.

That was our experience in a nutshell... it started when my wife and I ordered 2 burgers and fries (nothing else) to go, one of which was the Mac and Cheese burger. My wife went outside with our 2 year old and I waited for the food. The girl that wrang us up called over to me after about 10 minutes and asked me "wait, did you get the Mac Daddy or Mac and Cheese?" I told her Mac and Cheese, she said nothing to me and turned to talk to the cook so I sat back down. Our food was ready about 10 minutes later, I brought it out to my wife and told her what happened and she wanted to know if we were charged correctly. There was no receipt in the bag and we were never given one despite using a credit card. My wife went back in to find out.

It turned out that the cashier DID over charge us, for the Mack Daddy which was almost $10 more expensive than what we got. The cashier had obviously noticed her mistake because she told the cook to prepare the correct cheaper Burger, but she chose not to tell us we overpaid or try and refund the difference.

The manager was called over to refund us the difference and she told us that the only way to refund us the $8 is for us to pay for the food a second time and she would process a refund for the order with the overcharge, which would take 7 days to go through. So we paid $61 for 2 burgers with a promise that we would be paid back the overage a week later.

$61 was gone from out checking account before we even left the parking lot, but for some reason it took 10 days for the refund to be deposited.

We were both extremely disappointed with the cashier that was content overcharging us to hide a mistake she made, and with the manager who insisted a refund for $8 we were owed was not possible without paying for the order a second time.

We came to this restaurant because I only had 35 minutes before I had to go to work, but I ended up being late a few minutes for work and never got to try the food because of this ordeal. The food looked good but that's...

My wife had planned to go here for some time. We ordered our app and main courses. My wife and I ordered the same thing. When the main course came to the table, it was something neither of us would ever order, or eat. They got the order wrong, and I had ordered a side salad instead of fries. Unfortunately the waitress took this opportunity to have an attitude with us, tried to show us on her device what the order was. We kindly let her know the situation. My wife just wanted to leave at this point based on the response(there were other small issues before this, but nothing really bad until this encounter), so we dropped cash on the table (far more than the appetizer we had already eaten) and I interrupted the waitress who was talking to the kitchen about the correction. She sees we are leaving and says in a loud and shrill voice, "Are you going to pay for what you ate?" Everyone in the restaurant now turned and looked to see what was happening because of her tone and volume. I responded calmly with, "Yes, we left cash on the table." She didn't even respond with any words, realizing her mistake. The manager caught us on the way out and apologized, tried to negotiate with us to come back another time, maybe a time when that waitress wasn't working. We were just too upset by the encounter to do that, plus we are not in the area on any regular schedule.

The only reason this is three stars is because the manager was a straight shooter, very friendly and did their best to try to correct the situation. I'd recommend going here as the food does seem to look great, but our experience was hopefully...

It was okay. If you enjoy country and country fair this is the place for you, country music with a very modern country atmosphere/sports bar, unfortunately that is not to my taste. It was very clean and they offer games between seat that are a bench on one side and pull out chairs on the other. The tables have napkins with ketchup, mustard, a1, salt, and pepper. The bathrooms are through the game room, and the games room is 16+.

The food was alright, onion rings were awesome, I could see it being a great night at the bar with plenty of tvs to watch sports, along side a game room, and they look to have an awesome variety of milkshakes to tickle your sweet tooth.

The burger wasn't the best nor the worse. They have a build your own burger, which is awesome, I would recommend that route, but I have to say I've had nicer meat patties elsewhere. I would have expected more meat and maybe hand made burgers from their branding. It's a great establishment for people who love a kinda country local bar, with pub food, and good atmosphere (for the country lover).

It's pretty fast service if you want it to be and a quick bite before the movies...
