I was told by multiple sources "there is no good pizza on the Cape". LIES I SAY! Moto Pizza is a testament to that blatant falsehood. Here's a story about pizza:
TLDR: This is a top tier pizza. I live about an hour from the good pizza epicenter of the world, New Haven, CT. I absolutely love everything about New Haven apizza, they truly are amazing pizzas. Moto Pizza is not New Haven style pizza, nor does it try to be, it tries to be better and does a great job at it. While visiting the Cape, I was recommended Moto Pizza as good pizza. When I walked in, it's a small joint with minimal seating. No worries, just myself and a colleague. One thing I quickly noticed was the cooler with dough. There was also a sign on the cooler indicating how to rotate the dough, the older the dough, generally the better it tastes. "Alright" I thought optimistically, good dough makes good pizza. Aged, cold fermented dough imparts wonderful yeast characteristics. As the cheese pizza was handed to us, it was 'surface of the sun' hot, had to let it cool for a few minutes. The pizza is a thin crust pizza with a puffed up crust around the edges. PERFECTLY cooked. I'd call it NY style, but honestly, the pizza I have had in NY has not been that great. This pizza had some minor char on the crust with a slight crisp, while the inside was moist and exceptionally chewy. The flavor of the dough was phenomenal. This is how pizza dough should be. Enough about dough! The sauce is a tangy, acidic fresh sauce with noticeable basil and oregano, while presenting your typical layer of pizza cheese. I'd personally prefer slightly more sauce, but overall, the dough to sauce to cheese ratio was very good. Anyone who says that says that the cape doesn't have good pizza, has not been to Moto Pizza. This is a top tier pizza and am looking forward to my next trip to the cape to...
ย ย ย Read moreSome may call me biased seeing as I used to work here however I think that gives me a more in depth perception of the business. I continue to come here whenever Iโm on the Cape side of the bridge. The owner and his wife are amazing people and always have great people working in the shop. If you ever need a laugh go to the website and read Danteโs descriptions on the menu and other pages. So much thought put into every thing on the menu, and Iโve seen it firsthand. A great business man who really cares about the quality of ingredients, employees, and products. Worth every penny. I hope Iโm wealthy enough one day to help open a franchise on the other side of the bridge! Best dough Iโve ever tasted, seriously, you could just eat baked dough and enjoy it more than most other pizza places. Give it a try, you will never be...
ย ย ย Read moreEvery time that I move or travel the first thing I do is try to find an acceptable pizza place which isnโt always easy. Shortly after moving to the area we tried Moto and it has been our go-to since. Everything about the pizza is great; the crust is soft and crispy, the sauce is flavorful but not overwhelming, and all of the toppings weโve tried have been top notch. Additionally, their garlic knots are amazing along with the pickle fries and my kids love the chicken tendies (which I didnโt understand why until I tried them).
Long story, longer, Moto is great and I have yet to have an interaction with an employee that was anything less...
