I had high hopes for this place but left sorely disappointed. Ordered brisket with sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, and a side of pulled pork.
The chopped brisket was shredded like pulled pork which was a disappointing presentation and thanks to the fat content, an unappealing mushy texture. It was greasy, flavorless, and disappointing. Adding the honey bbq sauce did little to improve the experience as the sauce was bland and flavorless. The pulled pork was dry and bland, but unlike the brisket had a decent texture . The sweet potato fries were somehow simultaneously mushy, yet had burnt portions. Where things really went off the rails was the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was flavorless and was dripping with grease. The attached picture shows the puddle that was in the bottom of the food container.
Other members of our group ordered burgers- I did not try but it was clear that grease had soaked through the entire bun on way of them. The kids hot dogs featured soggy, untoasted buns and shriveled, unappealing hot dogs. The only item that looked or tasted decent were the regular fries. They were crisp albiet a little greasy.
The ambience was so so. The layout leaves much to be desired. The majority of the tables are on uneven ground and are sloped enough that food tends slide on the table and it is uncomfortable to sit.
We had been excited to try this place after hearing rave reviews from family members, but after this visit, we will...
Read moreI went with my mother-in-law and my children. We found the atmosphere nice and a great place for the kids to run around and play while we waited for the food. Finding a spot to sit was not easy. People left the tables empty except for a phone and when you’d sit down somebody would come running over and fight you for it. You have to hover by people that look like they are about to finish to get a table to sit at. I placed an order at the taco shack with the girl with the heart tattoo under her eye and gave her a $20 cash. I stood there and waited for my food and not even 5 minutes later, she looked me stone cold in the eye and said she didn’t have an order for me. I asked for the manager and my food somehow miraculously appeared a minute later. She looked like she was on something. The tacos were cold, mushy and watery. My kids burgers were much better. For the price, you can go up the street and get better service. The only thing nice was the play area by the Swedish fish cart. If you go, use a credit card to track your order and be ready to hover by people trying to...

We started with the Cajun fries, and wow—what a flavor bomb. The seasoning hits all the right notes: a little heat, a tangy zing, and just the right amount of salt. Totally addictive.
My mom went for the Bus Fries with pork. Picture those same amazing Cajun fries, piled high with juicy, flavorful pork. Every bite was a savory delight.
My dad had the bacon cheeseburger loaded with all the works. It was a hefty, generously sized burger, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. No frills—just solid, satisfying flavor.
I had the Sloppy Choppy, and it lived up to its name in the best way. A messy, mouthwatering pile of tender pork, crisp coleslaw, and a sweet slice of pineapple, all nestled on top of regular fries. The textures and flavors came together beautifully.
If you’re looking for bold, satisfying comfort food, Off the Grid delivers in a big way....
