Living on Long Island, we reside in a black hole for any donuts that are not Dunkin produced. And so, coming off the Cape, we were excited to find Cape Cod Donuts was right on our route. We pulled into the parking area and saw a short line next to a tiny trailer. As we approached, we were greeted by a kind older gentleman who asked if we had ordered yet. Upon hearing we had not, he helpfully directed us to where we could order. (More about this man in a moment.) We ordered a mixed dozen, with two maple bacon (added for added cost) and waited. The donuts were made to order and came in a nicely laid out tray. We sampled the maple bacon and it was delicious, amply supplied with real bacon and a just-right maple glaze. And then we tried the blueberry! Fresh blueberries burst their flavor into our mouths in complement to the still-warm cake donut. You will not want to miss this place if you have any appreciation for donuts. Now, while you wait, you will do yourself a favor if you come across and have a chat with the older gentleman sitting at the table adjacent to the trailer. Pause for a moment and discover more about life and living from this gentleman. He and his generation will pass before long and he and they carry experiences and lessons that need heard and heeded. Take a moment and catch something about life as you wait for a delicious donut.

Mediocre donuts that took forever. 55 minutes and we were third in line. Order ahead if you really want to go for it. Donuts were just okay. They tasted like old oil. If you insist on going go with strawberry or blueberry which are pretty unique given the way they produce the batter. Bring your own coffee. The coffee there is booty. The dudes were trying their best but the operation just isn't designed for fry on demand quick service. Polite and kind service just sloooooow.

I normally prefer yeast donuts but this place has made me rethink my entire stance on cake donuts. I had the blueberry, apple cider, chocolate, honey, and red velvet donuts. All were very good, but the blueberry is a stand out. One of the best donuts I've ever had. They somehow make them so the blueberries don't dry out during cooking process so they taste so fresh and flavorful. You MUST try one before you die.

My husband and I chose to forgo the traditional cake route for our wedding and instead opted for donuts. We booked Cape Cod Donuts for our wedding desert and it was definitely the best decision! The donuts are amazing; my only regret is I wasn’t able to eat more of them at the wedding, but we will definitely be visiting to get more. Scott provided excellent communication and had the donuts made fresh and delivered just before desert was to be served. We were also given the option to have the food truck on premises but we didn’t go with that option. If my photographer took any pictures I’ll be sure to add them when I receive them. Highly recommend this business. Scott was a pleasure to work with and Cape Cod Donuts deserves all the business. Their donuts are to die for. Thank you guys for providing the best donuts for our...

FINALLY got to Cape Cod Donuts! If you love a good, old fashioned, "fry cake" doughnut; get there...NOW. The Cape Cod Donuts are SO worth the drive (no matter how far that might be). The owner, and the young man working the counter, were really nice, took the time to speak with me, and packaged an assortment; as asked. Seriously...why would anyone EVER go to a chain shop??? Anyway...I truly didn't think the donuts would make it home, what with the wafting aromas, and such, but I held off; just 'til I got home; then all bets were off. Had enough time to get a couple on a plate then started in. Fortunately, it was just me and my 2 little dogs to hear the grunts of delight that came out of my mouth with each bite; after all, some people are still under the impression that I'm somewhat civilized. Thanks,...
