Mixed feelings - the ambiance and decor was great, and I had the Chagaccino which was delicious (albeit pricey but what isn’t these days). The staff was friendly but the interaction was a bit awkward and disjointed. One guy took my order and the other lady made the order, so communication broke down and she made the drink hot when I had asked for it iced (though I didn’t have the heart to correct her and ask for a new one, plus the hot one was still delicious). The main thing that negatively impacted the experience was at the end, the lady who made my drink tried to up charge me after the fact for the caffeine shot (more miscommunication). She had offered it while making the drink without noting there was an up charge (I would have said no if I’d known). Then, after I had already sipped the drink, she turned to the guy who took the order and asked if I had been charged appropriately for the caffeine, and was re-opening my ticket for me to pay extra! It was really uncomfortable and unpleasant… I noted that I would have said no if I were informed of the upcharge so she then said “ok I’ll pay it for you” which also was awkward (though the phrasing may have been due to a language barrier). In any case, though there are reasons to recommend this place, the service interaction I received does not compel me to return and pay the expensive price it costs to dine...
Read moreAfter a morning of chaosly moving furniture into storage, I needed a bit of a break to unwind/get some work done. I searched the area and saw this pop up. I now know I couldn't have chose a more perfect spot.
TheCafeIAm is absolutely magical. I was honestly stunned by not only the environment but the service. Granted this spot is quite new but you can feel how seriously the owners take your 'experience' to be.
From the moment I walked through the door I felt completely welcome and at home. Both owners (brother and sister) plus their staff went above and beyond in everything I experienced.
From Vanda (sister) being in-depth to all the teas that they have, to her brother Chef Miguel (brother) serving up creative flavors and treats, I truly couldn't ask for more. Also Dr. Michael (an on-site specialist) was also very helpful in swinging by to check in on me. Couldn't have asked for more or even dreamt of it.
All in all, this place is a GEM. Beyond the cafe, they have various rooms for aligning treatments - so relaxing. And Vanda even has her own section for skincare, accessories and more.
I can feel this place becoming a home to many in Atlanta so if I were you, I would at least stop by and experience one of the many aspects of this...
Read moreStopped in for an after-lunch coffee at Café I Am and was immediately struck by the welcoming ambiance and cheerful greeting. The place feels like a lovingly repurposed home—cozy, inviting, and full of charm. There’s a delightful mix of indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor patio that makes it feel more like visiting a friend’s garden than a café.
I ordered an almond milk latte, which was absolutely perfect—smooth, rich, and topped with a light dusting of cinnamon in the shape of a heart. It was delivered right to my spot on the patio, where I sank into a plush lounge chair with ultra-soft cushions while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Though there doesn’t appear to be a dedicated parking lot, I easily found street parking nearby, and a friendly neighbor assured me it’s perfectly fine to park there.
All in all, Café I Am is the kind of place that makes you want to linger—beautiful, peaceful, and filled with small thoughtful touches that make a simple coffee feel like a little retreat.
PS. If seated outside, stay under the awning or risk an acorn falling on your head (in...
