Me and my friends were craving some ramen on Sunday night, I wanted to choose a place I’ve never been to before so they recommended me Jinya. I’ve seen so many good reviews on yelp so I was down for it.
Before heading there we decided to give them a call and try to make a reservation or get our name added to the waitlist. She said she couldn’t add our name if we were not there, and they didn’t take any reservations. Turns out, you can actually put your name in a waitlist on yelp. I wish she mentioned this because we got there at 9, and didn’t get a table until 10 or so. I was annoyed.
It was so busy on a Sunday night, that we couldn’t even get a table. Instead we joined a community table. At this point, we were so hungry we didn’t even care.
To start, I ordered a Lychee Cocktail. He said they were out of the alcohol for it so I needed to choose something else. There were two more cocktails in the menu “Kyuuritini” and “Yuzutini”. I asked him what these were, but he said he didn’t know. Okay... I asked him to bring me any of those cause I just wanted to try it, but when he came back, he brought a Lychee Cocktail, really? I thought you were out. Whatever.
I ordered JINYA Tonkotsu Black: pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, nori dried seaweed, seasoned egg*, garlic chips, garlic oil, fried onion, spicy sauce, served with thin noodles. Not spicy at all, but tasty.
My boyfriend ordered Tangy Shrimp Cilantro: pork and shrimp broth, shrimp tempura, mushrooms, cilantro, lime, spicy sauce, served with thin noodles. Very very spicy.
For extra $2 you can get extra noodles for your leftover broth. Yum.
The place in general is very cute and cozy inside. They have waiting seats, so we were not uncomfortable.
They have an open kitchen, and you can actually seat around it, and watch them cook your food. I thought this was very interesting.
Service was okay. Our server seemed to still be training and couldn’t really respond to a lot of...
Read moreIf you’re a ramen enthusiast, Jinya Ramen is a must-visit. I had the pleasure of dining at one of their locations, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant has consistently impressed me with its fresh, flavorful dishes, and my recent visit was no exception.
I ordered the Wonton Chicken Ramen, and it was absolutely delicious! The broth was perfectly balanced—rich, savory, and packed with depth of flavor. I added mushrooms, garlic, and two soft-boiled eggs to my bowl, which elevated the dish to a whole new level. The mushrooms were tender and earthy, the garlic gave the broth a lovely depth, and the eggs had a perfect runny yolk that added an extra layer of comfort. The chicken was cooked to perfection and tender, soaking up the delicious broth beautifully.
What I really love about Jinya is that each location has its own slight variation in the taste of the broths. It seems like they adapt the flavors depending on the season and the team in the kitchen, which is an interesting touch and shows that they take pride in their work. However, this particular location stands out—every single time I’ve visited, the broth has been incredibly fresh, flavorful, and always tastes like it's made with care. The cooks here clearly put their hearts into their food, and it truly makes a difference in the overall experience.
The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the service is attentive and friendly, making it a great spot to enjoy a hearty bowl of ramen. If you're looking for a place that consistently delivers top-tier ramen with vibrant flavors, this location of Jinya Ramen is definitely the one to visit. Highly recommend!
