I think 7.8 is a fair score. It’s not a 100% pizza joint so that’s actually a pretty good score considering it’s part of a bigger oyster bar. Ingredients are fresh. It’s cooked well with the right amount of char on the under carriage. I’m personally not a fan of the mini cup pepperoni.
Good crisp, but the crust is almost too arid on the edge. Maybe too much flour? It doesn’t kill it or anything tho.
The real problem is the size and I think that’s what holds it back from climbing into the 8’s.
12” Pie for $20+ is basically the same price per inch as something like Glide. And though Glide is pretty good pizza, it’s over priced so I gotta be consistent and say the same is true here. Also, maybe a small thing but the plates they serve the pie on dip into the center causing the cheese and sauce to sort of pool up in the middle. But I’m a pizza snob.
Great service though. Friendly staff. Some tasty and interesting sides are avaible given that it’s not just a pizza spot. Brussel sprouts were really good. In truth the sides are more fairly priced than...
Read moreI wish I had found G’s Pizza sooner! I recently had the 15” Pepperoni Piccante (mozz., pepperoni, Calabrian chili, gorgonzola, hot honey), garlic bread, and Crostata de Nicciole (crunch bottom hazelnut choc. bars, espresso caramel, hazelnut sauce, and brittle). All three items were exceptionally good. The pizza was in my “top 3,” ever, and wasn’t too spicy (I’m a little heat-sensitive these days). The garlic bread did not look like anything special, but couldn’t believe how amazing it was. I could eat that in a meal by itself. When picking up, the gentleman at the counter (owner, maybe?) told me the dessert was like a “fancy Kit Kat,” which was super accurate. It was too-notch as well. Although it was a short time that I waited to pick up (online order), you could tell this place takes customer service seriously by watching the staff. There are a lot of great options in the area, but I strongly recommend G’s Pizza and will definitely be back soon. Side note: they have one of those legit stone pizza ovens, which I’m sure contributes to the...

Service: I placed an online order for pick-up for one pizza and was given a "ready by" time. I arrived at the restaurant on time but waited over 40 minutes. A hostess kept saying "they're working on it". When I asked a different hostess, they shuffled around some receipts and took mine somewhere to the back. Finally, my pizza miraculously turned up... but it was cold. They offered no apology or sympathies, let alone a refund or something else.
Food: The one star is because the pizza did taste good. The toppings are generous and I like the pizza crust. One pizza can feed 2 adults.
Overall: In the end, I won't be coming back because I was so disappointed and frustrated. Prolonging my hunger and warming up my food at home defeats the purpose and fun of getting take-out. I can find better pizza with better...
