ATMOSPHERE (3/5) The shop is pretty cute and rarely crowded. It's lit with warm yellow light; the front of the shop is often bright with sunlight from the store front glass panes, while the back is darker, cozier. The music is a bit random: sometimes there's high energy pop music, sometimes slow ballads. Over all, it's a good place to sit and relax with some wifi and drinks.
When it's busy, because board games and others are provided, customers can get pretty loud. The games also tend to get rather messy. I wish there was just a bookshelf where board games are stored. As it stands, the board games tend to collect on one or two tables in rather disorganized piles. Customers also don't take the time to clear up the games, leaving these tables even more disorganized.
MENU (5/5) Teamo has a pretty varied selection of milk teas, fruit teas, and frozen dessert drinks. Most items are pretty customizable in terms of ice level, sugar level, and toppings, which themselves vary quite a bit (from sweet red bean paste to pineapple gelatin to boba). Although no calorie count is on the menu, drinks can come with no added sugar, and splenda is easily available.
FLAVOR (5/5) The times that I've gone, I've had coffee milk tea, kiwi apple fruit tea, and a few others. I also had the chance to taste their oreo frappuccino. Everything was pretty light (including the oreo!) and tasty. I've pretty much become a regular here since it's so close to home. Normally, I'd go to Buford Hwy for Bubble Tea.
LOCATION (3/5) Teamo is located in a pretty busy plaza, conveniently next to several restaurants, fast food joints, grocery shops, and miscellaneous other businesses; as such, traffic always sucks and parking is only a bit better.
SERVICE (5/5) Teamo is a self service café. The staff are still incredibly friendly, and when it's slow, sometimes they'll bring the drinks directly over.
REWARDS Teamo also has a stamp card reward system with a ~10% discount (buy 10, get 1 free) much like other coffee...
Read moreReview update: (December 2018) This place is excellent. I take all my friends and visiting family here. I go at least once a month if not more. They are always so kind, the drinks are always delicious. The menu is varied, interesting, and every drink can be customized. They have non-dairy based options and lots of flavors to choose from. I really love this place! Please visit! . (September 2018) The first time we went we weren't given a stamp card so that was unfortunate. The associate who helped us today was pleasant. I didn't get her name but she has cool green hair. She and another woman made our drinks and they tasted delicious. They were friendly and we enjoyed sitting in the cafe. The music was a little loud but eh, if that's the only thing that was 'wrong' then the experience went pretty well. I take off one star for the young lady who assisted us about 4 days prior. She seemed young and very distracted by whatever was happening on her phone. (This is still the case in December 2018.) Clearly the tea was good enough for us to go back though. I would definitely reccomend this place...
Read moreWith many Boba-Tea places popup around town, it would be a challenge to keep up with the demand to have something unique with great customer service. This place certainly seems to lack both.
Drinks are nothing specials that customer can't find at other Boba-Tea places. We ordered a Coconut Milk Tea, Mango Peach Fruit, and Red Dragon & Passionfruit with pop-Boba. the Coconut Milk Tea is nothing short but can/box coconut milk with sugar cheesy foam cream (with extra cost). can't taste any "tea" at all. the Mango & Peach drink looks good but certainly can be homemade. The Red Dragon & Passionfruit is certainly worth ordering with the added pop-boba, but nothing that would scream out for a "must have".
Customer service was minimal. Understand that new customers might ask many questions, because they're curious of what you have to offer, and interest is a great marketing that lead to more sales. When asked questions, we felt that they were being bothered with our curiosity. And when explained, zero enthusiasm on the product or service...
