Have generally had excellent experiences here, and I certainly want to see this business succeed. However, if this had been my first experience here, I would likely not return. Saturday evening visit at a sports bar/restaurant for dinner with the NCAA Elite 8 games on so you think the restaurant would be staffed - yes I know it's difficult to staff a restaurant having been an operator myself for many years. Upon arriving, we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait to be seated - no issue, and we went to the bar to get some drinks. Not once did "the" bartender make eye contact - yes, there was only one bartender on a Saturday handling bar and the service well, too, for all of the servers. After a long wait, the bartender finally approached our guests. One ordered a Tito's-tonic and the tonic arrived flat.
We were seated and surprised because of the wait as more than 1/3 of the tables were unoccupied. After enjoying a great appetizer, it took a very long time for the server to return and take our food order. Then, it was a much longer time to receive our food; more than one hour after we were seated. The steak & chicken fajitas didn't have any chicken!
I seldom complain to management, yet felt compelled to let a manager know about our experience, which I did. The manager acknowledged that the business was struggling with staffing, leading to the issues we experienced. The manager missed a "golden opportunity" to offer a comp dessert or extend a future visit discount/coupon encouraging us to return. No discount was provided, and we never saw the manager again.
We certainly hope this was a one-time experience as we want the business to succeed. Had this been a first-time experience for any guest, it's doubtful they would ever return and may well provide a...
Read moreI am terribly disappointed and frustrated. I gave this establishment four different opportunities and every single one left me disappointed and unsatisfied. I really thought this would be my new local spot, but unless you want to continually question why you even came, don’t bother. The first time, I sat with my friend for over 15 minutes before I went and asked if the hostess told our server we had been sat. That not only set the tone for that night, but the others as well. Every time I went, I was quickly sat, but it took the staff an uncomfortable amount of time to notice we were sat or come check on us. The second time, the server brought out several items we did not order AND CHARGED US FOR THEM. This last time, in addition to it taking a while to even order drinks, the appetizer never showed up, and they sat us in a table that was regularly disturbed by the large party behind us and the server taking care of them (bumping into the chairs). Again, I’m mostly disappointed. Never once have I seen a manager or been greeted/checked in with by one. As someone who has spent many years in the industry, I am simply dumbfounded how this establishment...
Read moreBest sports bar in Atlanta!!! An amazing place to watch numerous games at once. The food is fresh. The servers are attentive and respectful. The management is very interested in making the evening great. And… there are TVs EVERYWHERE - even in the booth. You select the game you want in your booth.
We started with southwest egg rolls and wings. The egg rolls are the best we’ve ever had in Atlanta. Great seasoning. The wings were good too. My wife had fish and chips. She thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the salmon. It was very fresh and well cooked.
And best of all… the desserts (cakes) are made fresh daily. And they’re incredible.
Kudos to Abbi. She was our server and couldn’t have been better!
This place - hands down - beats Taco Mac, Mazzy’s, Three Roses Tavern, and Hudson Grille. Oh - the prices are very reasonable.
We’ll be back. Excited to have Sidelines in the...
