Good food , great service people, from the servers to the busing. Karen was exceptional! Deserves greater recognition! Potatoes had to be sent back, like them well done as requested. What I liked best was the clientele. WOW. This j Christopher is so much better than Brookhaven. Brookhaven needs lots of improvement. Pay more to KEEP long term well trained staff. Personal, not just a number. Better kitchen prep. I return from time to time, but avoid often. Live in Brookhaven. Sorry for the honesty.
I'll drive to Brookhaven. Or Revelry.
The female version is better. Ha. Met one the owners one day on a chance meeting at America's Best Eyeglass. During covid masks. He had the mask hanging off one ear! I studied him a few minutes. Wanted to get a rise out of him! "You know your breaking the LAW!". Rather interesting exchange from that point with great entry to a great man!
We parted later at the register. Spoke again with a deeper chat...
He wished me best in my 34 year old private company. I smiled. Who is J. Christopher? How can I WAKE UP the sleepy breakfast spots to a lower cost, better quality place that Veterans and poor can enjoy and feel welcomed. I go all the way back to to Dunaway Drug Stores in Marietta where we sat at in store diner counters and breakfast was $2.99. Ha. $3.99 was 👍 awesome. Maybe we can start a retro. My friend who just died suddenly (77) returned to the same Waffle house often because they addressed him by name. One awesome man. Lou. We'll miss you at breakfast. I hesitate to go back and tell the girls. They will burst out crying. Everyone loved Lou!

Read moreHonestly if I could give it no stars at this point I would. I live in the neighborhood it's located and actually work in the same plaza. It's convenient if I want to grab something while I'm on the way to work. The food is OK. But the service is the problem. A good bit of the time it takes a while to get someone to acknowledge you. Being that I work with customers I understand that not everyone that works there is able to help but simply acknowledging someone and saying that help is on the way goes a long way. My issue is this, there is one particular woman that seems to have an issue with being able to tell what my gender is. Now, I'm sure most people reading this (including J. Christopher's management) isn't going to think it's a big deal. But it is. I am a woman and it's very obvious that I am. Yes I have short hair but that doesn't matter. This morning was the 3rd time I had to correct her. I also pointed out that if she "can't tell" then she should not gender someone and upset them. She laughed as I expressed that I was upset. She did apologize but continued to laugh. To me that is not a sincere apology. As a customer when you are expressing your concerns you should not be treated like that. As ridiculous as I have had customers act I have never and would never laugh in their face. Needless to say I will never spend my money at this place again. I know it will be no real loss to them and that's fine. But it'll happen to someone else that they will care about losing. Goldberg's and soon First Watch will be my go to places. I look forward to seeing if management...
Read moreI’ve been to the East Cobb location a number of times over the past 4 years and this location has been very consistent in providing really good food and excellent service. It’s nothing fancy, but the food preparation is done very well, it’s quick, affordable, and the service is always courteous. I don’t know if they’re made from scratch in house or if it’s a mix or a frozen product, but the biscuits are pretty good; moist and full of flavor.
My vegetarian wife and picky daughter both enjoy going here, as well. Free, ample parking and wheelchair accessible for patrons with those concerns. The noise level is not bad even when full, too. Some newer restaurants that are built are basically metal boxes enclosed with glass and have concrete floors. Those types of establishments look great, but often offer a din of noise that makes for an unenjoyable experience due to the poor acoustics.
Overall, I think this restaurant represents an excellent value. My family doesn’t go out for breakfast often, but when we do and want to stick close to home, this...
