Went here for dinner with my wife and 2 year old. I thought the menu prices were high but said we should try it out since the pizza at the midtown location is so good. We arrived and there were two other tables occupied.
After 20 minutes we placed an order for chicken marsala, vodka sauce linguine and a small pizza for the kid. After 30 more minutes no food was in sight while another table had a full order made. The kitchen is in plain view so we could see the activity.
It turns out someone forgot to make our dinner. The cook pointed fingers at the waiter and he blamed the cook. I watched them scramble to make our dinner and we got a pizza and the linguine. The linguine was stuck together as if no one stirred the pasta when cooking it., because it was being cooked in a hurry. It was also super salty. The pizza was decent....But after a few minutes I inquired about my chicken marsala.
I was told they forgot to put it in again. So I said don't bother, because I had to leave to take my kid to bed. I was offered a half assed apology about how this is their soft opening for the third month and they are working out problems...By the waiter himself!
I left hungry, had an awful experience and advise you to skip this place. Doubt it will make it charging the prices they do with the poor...
Read moreI had a wonderful time at Vinny's! My old man and I had driven to Atlanta for a concert and we selected Vinny's as a conveniently located new-to-us spot for dinner, largely based on Google reviews.
The staff were down to earth, super friendly, and enjoyable to talk with. Vinny's had a calm and inviting atmosphere. It was cold out and they brought us these awesome appetizers - hard crusty bread knots outside - with hot, steamy, soft insides - and the seasonings were spot on. After that taste, and with a few hearty swigs of draft blue moon, we were very much refreshed and looking forward to our pie!
The pizza was the best either of us had enjoyed in quite some time. The crust was perfectly toasted with a mild char and the toppings on our Mediterranean pizza were right up our alley. I didn't realize that I was chilled from the long drive until I tore into that hot pie - which warmed me up from the inside. It was straight-up perfect.
We shed the exhaustion of driving to Atlanta and would have been ready for naps if we didn't have a concert to head to.
Thank you Vinny's! I'd like to come back to see the aquarium and I'll definitely be be swinging by for another pie...
Read moreMy (now) husband and I have loved Vinny's for years! I always told him that when we got married, I would want pizza catering for our wedding and that is exactly what we did! While my husband was the main contact for Vinny's, I had to say a few words myself. Vinny's did an absolute BANGER job of catering our wedding with pizza, pasta, salad, garlic knots and their meatballs. The amount of compliments we're still receiving on their meatballs is overwhelming! I love pizza, have always loved pizza and I am so thankful for the Vinny's team for taking care of the food for us! Our guests loved that we went a non-traditional food route and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. While I did not get to interact with the Vinny's team a whole lot the day of the wedding, their team was awesome and truly took a lot of the worry I had off my mind. Specifically thank you to GEORGE and his father for coordinating and orchestrating this wedding catering for us. You truly went above and beyond making our wedding day special with delicious food - thank you so much!!!! I will post pictures once I...
