I have been a loyal customer of Splash for the last six years. Although making my favorite beverage at home has always been the more economical option, running to Splash has become a convenient, happy and social part of my every day. I LOVE the Splash guys and gals so so much. They brighten my day! They are so happy, fun, kind and efficient. Getting my beverage twice a day has become almost as much about the cherished social connections with them, as it is about my beverage.
Last week on one of my twice-daily trips to Splash, I happened to drive up right as they were having a new system installed. With the new system came a cost increase of almost 50¢ on my particular drink. Ironically, I was the first customer to be blessed with that increased price. The manager, whose name I learned is Mitzi, was there installing the new system. Meeting her made me realize that everything that is so wonderful about Splash has everything to do with the lower level customer service employees..and nothing to do with management. When I expressed concern about the cost increase, she proceeded to tell me how I should consider myself lucky for getting such affordable prices for so long and that the increase was a long-time coming and wasn't that big of a deal.
Not a big deal. Sure. Not a big deal that the ones who will be affected the MOST by this "small" price increase will be their most loyal customers -- the ones, like me, who have purchased every Splash tumbler just to continue receiving the discounted refill price. On most days, I am there twice a day with very few exceptions. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that that means I spend a total of over $1,000 a year JUST on my beverage refills. That doesn't even include the cost of my many tumblers, even more tumblers and gift cards given as gifts, dozens and dozens and dozens of additional purchases of popcorn, cookies and other goodies for my family and friends. In total, I very easily spend between $1,250-$2,000 a year at Splash (for a total of $7,500-$12,000 over the last six yearsđ¤˘). I have never actually added it up before, and doing so now actually makes me physically sick to my stomach. This "not a big deal" price increase would mean an EXTRA $300+ a year JUST for my drinks (not to mention the increases in everything else).
In this economy, I probably shouldn't have even been spending what I was .....but I definitely can't be spending that much more. And so, after six years of loyalty to Splash, I will be making my drinks at home from now. Apparently, my thousands of dollars to Splash is "not a big deal" to them....so I'm sure corporate won't miss me at all. The bigger deal is how much I'll miss my Splash Crew. They are the best!
Splash Management....DO BETTER....and give your employees a raise while you're at it. They are the best part of your company. Five stars for them. One for you...for being wise enough...
Read moreI was here around 12:30pm today and couldn't be more annoyed with the awful experience I had with Splash Drinks and their staff.
I was picking up a DoorDash order for a customer and waited in the drive thru to find out that the staff wouldn't give me the drink through the window.
I was instructed to come in after I had waited 15 minutes in the drive through. Once I was in the store, the staff handed me the drinks without saying hi. I asked for a drink carrier. I don't even think I should be required to ask for one.
The worker rolled her eyes at me and threw the drink carrier on the counter. Once I started driving away, I realized that the lid wasn't on very well and the drink was spilling out all over my car. Not only was the lid not on, it didn't fit. I do not recommend this place at all. If I could leave a 0 star...
Read moreI love splash drinks. I will drive from Murray to Sandy to get their drinks. After today I donât know if I will ever go back. As we ordered our drinks (there were 3 of in the car) we felt so rushed. Then while the drinks were being prepared we saw a keychain that I decided I wanted and my daughter wanted popcorn. So when the drinks were given to us (transaction complete) we asked the girl to make another order. She was so rude and put out that we wanted to give them more business. She said âin the future you need to make all of your orders at 1 time.â This was so uncalled for especially since she wasnât nice how she said it. I would understand if they were busy but it was just us there. Do...
