Bear Park in Sandy is like the theme park of “I didn’t know I needed this until I got here.” You walk in expecting bears (or at least a bear-related theme) and instead, you get a beautiful, chill park that’s just perfect for pretending you’re an outdoorsy person for a few hours.
The playground is basically a dream for kids, and the walking trails make you feel like you’ve stepped into a nature documentary—minus the whole “dangerous wildlife” thing. Honestly, the only bears I saw were on the park's sign and in the “bear-sized” snacks I bought at the nearby convenience store after I spent too much time in the fresh air.
But for real, the park is gorgeous, peaceful, and just a great place to chill. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a fun, low-stress way to enjoy nature without actually running...
Read moreThis Park is a gem tucked away into the neighborhood. The playground has a lot of fun features-swings, zip line, a slide and a smaller structure for toddlers. There are lots of benches around the playground and most of them are shaded by large trees. There are two baseball diamonds, a sand pit for volleyball, two tennis/pickleball courts, and goals out for several soccer fields and open space. Read moreI’ve been going here since I was a child my next-door neighbor is the one who carved the big bear. This is such a special park. It has about everything except a basketball court. They keep it very clean. They always make sure it’s a safe place the neighborhood watches over it very well, everybody is very friendly and kind.
