Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Sanford

Ordered from here through Uber Eats, but Uber was not the issue. The bag came sealed. Almost 1/3 the items were either missing or wrong. Items that were missing, corn on the cob, mac and cheese, a gallon of tea, and spicy chicken 3 pieces. So that was annoying, but Uber Eats makes it easy to get a refund for those.

As for what we received, 6 pieces of fried chicken (none spicy), fried okra, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, lemonade (which we didn't order) and poppers.

The chicken was nice and juicy, no real complaints on that. A little heavy on the salt but that is a taste thing. The coleslaw was a little dry, but ok. The fried shrimp was over cooked, and not the best, but about the expected for a fried chicken place. The poppers were decent. The fried okra was over cooked, also tastes like the oil is old. The mashed potatoes and gravy, I say gravy lightly, as there was not much to speak of and the potatoes tasted like cheap stuff. Last but not least, the lemonade, what can I say... it tasted like minutemaid from the canned powder, and it still tasted watered down (yes, we did shake after trying it one time to test), it was also labeled that it was packaged on Tuesday and this review and the order were on a late Sunday. Over all this was not worth the cost to me. Other places have better food at a better price. Their quality control and service...

This place is horrible. The service you receive as a customer is unbelievable. My husband and I always order the same items. 25 piece tenders, 6 biscuits, and jalapeno bombers, we paid 27 dollars. We have ordered this on several different visits. We returned weeks later only to be told they don't sell a 25 piece tender. Ok...we did 20 pieces with the usual items. The price was like 29 dollars...ok why did the price change? Ok some time had passed we ordered the usual without the bombers the price 27 dollars. Ummmm... Ok why does the price continue to change. The lastest visit was the last draw for me. We ordered everything we usually order and the total was $33 dollars seriously!! The lady continued to tell us it's taxes. No! It's not. Please tell me how we come here on a regular and order the same items and the price continues to change. She grabs a caculator and manually does the prices. We changed our order to make it less because my husband wanted the tenders. The wait was like 15 minutes, the biscuits were so hard I threw them away, and some of the tenders we're over cooked. Also, while we waited at the drive thru window the manager was counting down the money bag, which gets dropped off at the bank, in the front where they fix the food, instead of being in the office. Corporate needs to step in immediately to get this...

I’ve been to this establishment 4 times and have only been able to eat here just once. The first time came in at 11:30am and they had their doors locked and said that no chicken was made. The following day I came back to try this location out and they said that they were not taking any orders because they had no staff. The 3rd time I was finally time able to get some food ordered and the chicken and biscuits were was pretty good. This 4th visit at 5pm was very upsetting time especially not being a busy time. I was told by a employee that they were not taking orders and had not chicken. How can a business be opened but not selling anything 3 out of 4 times. It’s very upsetting to waste my time as I’ve enjoyed this meals before and used to like churchs chicken. This location also had signs of MOLD in the AC vents that are on the dinning area.
