Cracker Barrel Old Country Store — Restaurant in Sanford

I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews but I’m really disappointed with the ongoing issues at this location. For the past few months, I haven’t been able to place an order through DoorDash, their direct website, or even the app as there’s always an error code. I even tried calling their support to place an order, and they couldn’t get it to go through either. I’m not sure what’s going on with the online ordering system, but it’s been a consistent issue.

Because of that, I decided to place an order directly with the store for curbside pickup. They always take my order and vehicle info, but every time I arrive, I’m asked to come inside and pay. I don’t mind going in, but if I select curbside pickup, I should be able to stay in my car. Otherwise, what’s the point?

To top it off, the food quality today was disappointing. I ordered my usual breakfast, but the pancakes were noticeably smaller; easily two to three times smaller than what I’ve received before. I have photos to compare, and it’s just not acceptable.

Between the tech issues, the lack of proper curbside service, and the drop in food quality, this has been a frustrating...

Over all this visit was good. The server and kitchen needs to learn the recipes. We asked if the meatloaf had onion in it. She server didn't know and had to go to the kitchen she returned and said no but if we wanted to upcharge they could put onion in it. Didn't say on it she said in it. I doubt they were going to make a meatloaf with onions in it. Googled the ingredients and says it does have onions. Upcharge probably was sauteed onions on it. Be able to answer the questions and if the kitchen didn't understand the question that's a fail. We did get the meatloaf for the 5 dollar meal to take home and it certainly looks like it had onion in it. She asked if we wanted biscuits before the meal I said yes but she never brought them. She did give good service otherwise.

Wasn't impressed with the plating. Downsize the platter so it looks like a full plate. There was a lot of empty space. Green beans and corn directly on the plate with catfish. Did bring or offer tater sauce. We had to ask. If the veggies were in Ramekins it would have made the platter look fuller. Also no liquid to get to...

We went sunday around 11ish were sat immediately. We ordered even ordered some of the take home meat loaf and grilled chicken... after waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food the server came and told us it would be an additional 20 minutes for the saw mill gravy... i know they could have made some in a small batch in 5 minutes. So not pleased with the alternative of brown gravy we opted for that.. another nearly 20 minutes we get our food...upon asking for the check we reminder the server about the take home food she disappeared and came back and said there was none ready... that was the main reason going was to get an the take home for her dad... she never dropped the check I had to ask her when she passes again... are there even managers working to interact with guests... is this unit under new management? 3rd time in a row getting shoddy service... no biscuits ready, no gravy, no take home prepared, cold food, very long wait for food... not a way to...
