Sandra's Bakery in Sanford has quickly become a favorite Saturday tradition for my children and me. With its outstanding pastries and warm, welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder we find ourselves returning time and again.
The star of Sandra's Bakery is undeniably its phenomenal pastries. From the light, flaky croissants to the rich, melt-in-your-mouth donuts, each offering is a testament to the mastery of their craft. The taste and texture never disappoint, delivering pure, unadulterated joy with every bite.
A recent visit left us particularly impressed when they custom-decorated donuts into Barbie floats for a friend's baby shower. The attention to detail was remarkable, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction and their ability to rise to the occasion (no pun intended).
While the coffee at Sandra's may not be the standout, it serves as a comforting sidekick to the main attraction - the pastries. I'm sure coffee connoisseurs might desire a bit more from this department, but it does the job of complementing the sweet treats well.
In summary, Sandra's Bakery is a gem in Sanford, serving up delectable pastries that have become a cherished part of our weekend routine. Whether you're looking for a delicious start to your day or a customized sweet treat for a special occasion, Sandra's Bakery...
Read moreOrdered a birthday cake for my Mom's 75th birthday. Ordered a chocolate cake with butter cream icing, spring floral flowers with large yellow roses (She's from Texas), with the words "Happy 75th Birthday Mom". When my wife picked up the cake yesterday, the workers hurriedly placed the cake in the box, but noticed a problem, and attempted to correct the rope icing that was sliding off one corner of the cake. They couldn't fix and so put it the box and handed it to my wife. They never took the time to show the cake to my wife to ensure it met the expectation of the customer. Sure enough, when we sat down last night to celebrate, and pulled the cake out here is what we had. The rope icing had slid off and was laying in the box. They did not include "Mom" in the inscription. And the floral arrangement were the type of flowers you buy in the cake decorating section at Wal-Mart, the hard candy type flowers, not the handmade type you would expect from a bakery. The butter cream icing seemed to be made from lard, not butter and lacked the buttery taste you expect from a quality butter cream icing. And the large yellow roses were smaller than a dime. They are seriously lacking in attention to detail and customer service. The donuts may be great, but order your...
Read moreWorst cake I've ever had! I ordered an encanto theme cake in January for April, they charged me $261.00.I told them how I wanted the cake and even sent pictures. I didn't hear anything from anybody throughout that time so I went to pick up the cake, and it was given to me in a flat box 2x bigger than my cake with only plastic wrap to cover it! The plastic paper smudged all the decorations, and half of the decorations I wanted wasn't even in there. I'm not one to make a scene and I didn't have time that day to deal with it, but the cake didn't even taste that good. I had a million other things to do that day because it was the day of the event so I called the bakery 3 days later and the manager told me that nothing could be done because I waited 3 days to call... that the person who took my order didn't work there anymore. I'm like excuse me for not shaming you guys in front of the long line that day in the bakery. Excuse me for not having time to deal with your unprofessionalism on the day of my daughter's birthday.... Honestly, worst Customer Service I've ever experienced! The manager even had the nerve to tell me that plastic wrapping was cheaper! Never going to this place ever again! For almost $300 it was...
