Title: Mixed Experience with Exceptional Service

During our first venture into Santa Ana for a concert, my wife and I decided to stop by Tequila's, enticed by its trendy exterior and promising name. However, our initial impressions were met with a blend of both positives and negatives.

Upon entering, we were greeted by a peculiar scene - several staff members behind the bar seemed oblivious to our presence, leaving us waiting for a good 10 minutes before any acknowledgment. Despite the apparent lack of attention, one waitress stood out for her exceptional service amidst what appeared to be overwhelming circumstances. She welcomed us warmly and offered us the freedom to choose our seating.

Opting for the back area, we found the ambiance pleasant, with flowers and a soccer game adding to the atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised by a company sampling their old-fashioned whiskey, which we found delicious. I opted for that, while my wife tried their margarita, one of their specialties.

However, the culinary experience didn't quite match the service. The ceviche we ordered turned out to be disappointingly rubbery, not something I would recommend. On a positive note, the bean dip provided as a courtesy appetizer was delightful.

Despite the mixed experience, the standout service from the waitress made a significant difference. Her attentiveness and warmth deserve commendation. Our bill totaled $81, including a couple of drinks.

Overall, while Tequila's offers a trendy atmosphere and some enjoyable drinks, the uneven service and inconsistent food quality leave room for improvement. However, the exceptional waitress we encountered on a Saturday night around 8:00 deserves recognition and perhaps a raise for her...

What can I say other than I just got one of the best services and treatment ever, I was quickly given a menu and recommended the tacos or sliders and went with the sliders which were great both the asada and chicken. The food was great but the service was HORRIBLE. The server came to us once to say he would be back to take our order and I had to get up to order our food with the bartender.
